I offer 2 types of Sunset Sessions aside from minis that I offer and I want to discuss the difference in all of them for when you are deciding your session type and if you should book a mini, a half or a full session and what you can expect so that you know what you are looking for.
Full sessions are wonderful choices for families who have never had family photos, it has been many, many years since they have had a full session and their family has changed, they have a larger family with smaller children. Full sessions are 1-1.5 hours long and are more tailored to your family, even making room for clothing changes. This means more posing/fun. More detail shots. More breaks for little ones. More everything. Most people tell me their kids can't handle that long of a shoot. I'm here to tell you that they can. Most kids actually need more time, not less. I truly believe every family should have at least one full storytelling session with their kids once.
Half sessions are great for those who have older children or only one child, or those who keep up on their family photos every 1-2 years. Or maybe you are new to working with me and just wanna take me for a spin, Ha! Maternity/couples falls into this as well. These sessions clearly are shorter so there is less time for kids to warm up/settle down-and while they always do, usually, lol, but that means less poses, detail shots. Less storytelling.
Mini sessions---I have always sorta steered away from minis because I personally, love more storytelling in my images and that takes time, no rush. And usually propped with something. With that being said, mini sessions have their place too. The incentive for families is that they are quick and budget friendly. I get it. But they do lack multiple posing, detail shots as the goal is usually for a card or gift of some sort. I offer them in 15 or 20 minute sessions depending on the time of year. But if you have ever worked with me on a mini session, you know I can work fast and am always able to deliver a large gallery. I would even say that around 1/2 of my families purchase their full galleries from minis.
I do offer payment plans on all sessions aside from the "minis" that can be set up for your needs.
