“Perfect” is the enemy of the good. It would be so easy to say I’ve been just so busy that I haven’t been able to post, but that would be a lie. I’ve spent a few years pretty much avoiding social media at all costs and this last few months *almost* pushed me away for good with how every single day my feed is filled with more AI and inauthenticity. Captions written by a computer to feed the algorithm better. Perhaps it’s a moment of clarity in realizing it’s hypocritical of me to complain without doing anything about it. I’m not here to say anything profound or act like I’m superior to anyone in any way. I am just here to share some stuff I’m proud of and stop stopping myself out of fear of making sure everything is perfectly curated or exactly what the algorithm needs. I’m not a photo wizard, a “master” who can do it all, I’m literally just a guy who loves getting to capture special moments in people’s lives and feels literally so lucky any time someone trusts me to do so. I hope I can continue to be able to, but either way, for now I’m just excited to share what’s brought me the most joy out of my work from here on out - people just being themselves, exactly who they are, and letting me capture a little look into that.
