The last month or two has been the best spring weather I can remember in recent memory and I literally don’t know what I’m going to do when it all comes to a tragic end. In the meantime, I am so grateful for some great shoots with even better people ❤️

Please don’t ask if you can bring your dog to your engagement session. The answer is always yes.

With 2025 coming to a close, that’s another lap around the sun and another year full of meeting and working with so many wonderful people! 10 years on and I’m still feeling more and more excited each year looking forward!

I feel equally excited looking back at what brought me to this point. The people really are what make this job so special. Being invited into weddings and other special times in people’s lives to capture a vignette from my perspective is something I’m so grateful to be able to do. It is such a genuine privilege each and every time.

I love what I get to do when I show up with a camera in hand and I am so thankful to anyone who has taken any part in making that possible, large or small.

These are some of my favorite portraits from throughout 2025. I hope you enjoy this little look back at the year. Can’t wait to see what lies in store, here’s to the next year ahead of all of us!!

Where have I been as of late?
Been a little busy marrying my best friend, that's all. Been awhile since I've posted here but I'm gearing up for next year and ready for that to change! With how insanely packed my last 6 months have been, things have slowed to a crawl here while I've focused on marrying the love of my life and ensuring I put out the best work possible to everyone I've been lucky enough to work with. I'm super excited to begin sharing what I've been up to as we head into the new year. So grateful to anyone reading this for taking even a small part in supporting what I do!

Andrew proposed to Tessa at the sea lion tunnel at the St. Louis Zoo, so naturally we made our way out there for their engagement session and I’m so glad we did. These two are getting married next month and I cannot wait to continue capturing the fun these two radiate at all times. New blog just hit the site of these two and our time at the zoo so please head to the link in my bio to see more!!

Just a little over three months until I get to marry my best friend on this Earth! 12 years together, forever to go. (the plate pictured is what I originally used to ask out Ashley when I was 16) It feels surreal to say out loud how close we are to this day so very clearly a long time in the making. It was an interesting switch being on the other side of the camera but made it so much fun and put out such gorgeous work as always. We are both so thankful for these photos and are truly counting the days until our wedding! 12 years is no small number but I can certainly say it’s been worth the wait to get to this point with each other by our side. ❤️

Taking a look back through Michael and Allison’s winter wedding celebration made my day today! January and its endless cold gave us the excuse to check out one of my favorite places to shoot during less than ideal weather, the St. Louis Central Public library. These two were smiles for miles from the moment the tied the knot through our entire session together shortly after! Head to the link below to check out the full blog!

10 years into this journey! I almost can’t believe it.

To say that I feel fortunate to have spent an entire decade doing what I love would still somehow be a bit of an understatement. I wouldn’t be here without the love and support of friends, family, and anyone I’ve ever photographed up to this point. Without you, I’m just a guy with a camera.

I made the choice about halfway to where I’m at now to change my branding to “Batchelor Photo” as a way to hopefully expand my scope and use it as an opportunity for growth. In a lot of ways, I have begun to realize that this was disconnecting me from myself, which is why I’ve decided to just go back to my roots. My name is Brendan Batchelor and I am a photographer. Simple as that.

As I round the corner of this first ten years, I am feeling so many emotions. I am so full of excitement and gratitude.

I’ve put together a bit of a brief highlight reel of my career so far as one of my favorite blog posts to date, so head to the link below for a full 10 year history and celebration. I really hope you’ll take a look! It was pretty emotional for me, I won’t lie to you. Being able to view my own story like this has me feeling more grateful than I have ever been on this ride with you all. I look forward to continuing to tell the story of others the best way I know how.

In some ways, it really does feel like I’m just getting started.

Every year that passes by, I find myself more and more grateful to be able to do what I do. 2024 is no exception. A year that was absolutely full of ups and downs, to say that I connected more with my work and myself than ever before this past year would be a bit of an understatement.

To anyone I’ve photographed this past year and beyond into the year ahead, thank you beyond words for allowing me to be a part of something truly so special and important to your lives. There’s no greater feeling than being trusted with that responsibility.

These are some of my favorite portraits from 2024. I hope you enjoy this look back as much as I have and here’s to the next year ahead of all of us! Head to the link below to check out my year in review!
