I’m heartbroken to hear about the passing of Kyle Loftis.
Kyle was a true pioneer in the automotive world. What he built with 1320Video helped change the way high-performance car culture was shared, seen, and celebrated online.
Back in 2013, when I was still trying to find my way as an automotive photographer, Kyle shared one of my Acura NSX photos, tagged me, and almost instantly I watched my photography page start to grow. It may have seemed like a simple share, but to me, it meant everything.
He loved that NSX photo so much that I sent him a print as a thank you, and that photo became a connection point between us. Years later, even with his crazy schedule, he still took the time to look through my work, send kind words of encouragement, and remind me to keep going.
Looking back now, that says everything about who Kyle was. He was climbing fast, but he never acted above anyone. He lifted people up, shared opportunities, encouraged others, and helped bring an entire community along with him.
Seeing all the stories being shared now, it’s clear he did that for so many people.
It breaks my heart that we’ll never get the chance to tell him thank you one more time.
Rest in peace, brother. You were a legend, and you will never be forgotten.
