This is Alexander. A couple weeks ago, he finished the Go St. Louis Marathon that I photographed. The same morning that he finished a marathon, his partner was on the phone with her parents back in Kiev listening to the explosion of bombs. She was still visibly still shaken when I had a couple of moments to spend with them and to quietly reassure both of them that they were not alone as a people.
This is why I do what I do. I often say about shooting these races "It isn't about the money." It's about the sheer amount of heart and soul that goes into each person who has the courage to begin their race and complete it. For me as a photographer, it is one decisive moment after another and it is pure.
Remember Alexander and his people in your thoughts and prayers if you happen to have a spare one. I'm sure they could use it.

Meghan and Dylan are two wonderful people! We were honored/delighted when they asked Ikon Photographs to be part of their wedding day -On Halloween no less! Then came the covid-19 pandemic and things had to change a bit; a smaller wedding, social distancing/masks, change of location etc...But they still managed to have a beautiful day! Of course, when there's a cemetery right next to where the ceremony is, and it's Halloween, it makes for some spectacular images, you could even say they're "spooky" good!

We had a wonderful time with Eric and Desiree at The Falls Banquet Center. During these "Covid Times" it was awesome to see them make things work out (with light up color changing LED masks no less!). They're simply wonderful and we wish them all the well in the world. www.ikonphotographs.net

Happy Monday Ya'll!

We had an awesome time yesterday at the GO! St. Louis® Great Halloween Race 5k/10k/Half Marathon. So many people wearing such great costumes and running their best races on a Sunday!
Well done!

Thanks so much to everyone who volunteered to help make the race such a success as it was! It was an absolutely amazing event!

It was spooky how many people turned out and in such amazing costumes to RUN a race on a Sunday!
