Biesemeyer Creative is a culmination of skills and experience developed over the past 10 years, as some of you who follow me may know, I’ve evolved from Biesemeyer Visual Artistry to Biesemeyer Artistry and now Biesemeyer Creative, which I feel is more reflective of the things to come.
When you last connected with me as Biesemeyer Artistry, I was heavily shooting Weddings and passionate about that and the creativity behind the lens. I think fondly of my last Wedding in 2022 and all those before and the connections and friends I made. I can’t believe it has been 4 years since my camera and I could call each other friends.
Sometimes, you need time away to refocus.
Since then, professionally, some of you may have followed me as the Owner of COCOS Studio. Since 2022, I have ran the Studio, Substitute taught many children which became a great passion of mine. I worked as a Development Director at a non-profit, a Barista, a dog sitter, and a Venue Director at one of St. Louis most sought-after Wedding Venues. Working as a Venue Director has made me miss capturing gorgeous Wedding Day moments, the feeling of the camera in my hand and building friendships and connections with my clients and vendors.
As I baby step back into my creative roots, it is my hope to lean back into film and digital work, to capture meaningful imagery for other creatives, small businesses and entrepreneurs that can support their growing platforms and business, to capture growing families, moments and maybe even your best pet friend.
Personally, over the past 4 years, I spent that time digging deeper,
rebuilding identity after burnout and evaluating the role of creativity in my life.
While rebuilding, I would love to share parts of my journey as a creative recovering from burnout to find community with fellow creatives. I don’t know exactly what is to come but this time I am praying for something more beautiful than I can imagine. Something between creativity, community and purpose.
