Rare Vision Photography

Rare Vision Photography Lifestyle photographer specializing in families, newborns and branding. Hello, my name is Nicole and I'm the owner/photographer of Rare Vision Photography.

Rare Vision was formed out of my passion for capturing moments and the beauty and uniqueness that God displays in each of them. I'm passionate about photography because it's more than an art form, it's unfolding a story. Stories are full of laughter, fear, fantasy, heartache, mischief, heroes, love, passion and so much more. Photographs capture the great times in a person's story and freezes it in

time for us to remember and savor for years to come. I've enjoyed capturing emotions and events in my own story and would be privileged to capture a special moment in yours.

“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.” - Ansel Adams

Edmond Mbiaka’s words stopped me in my tracks — they reminded me why I do this work. If I’m honest, there are parts of running Rare Vision Photography I don’t love (hello, admin and invoices), but those tasks let me use my eyes to frame and capture those genuine, tender moments that make it all worth it. What little part of your work still lights you up—even on a Monday?

I won’t lie — reading Ezekiel isn’t easy, but something kept me turning the pages. Amid the hard judgments, I found a glimmer of hope: God promises to restore His people and to reveal His holiness through them, and that care feels so tender and real. How has Scripture surprised you with hope lately?

My 365 Challenge was on fire during vacation—so many photos, so many memories. Now we're home, nursed a cold earlier this week and worked on the puzzle we brought back. It’s far less glamorous, but those quiet, messy moments are just as worth documenting. What small, real moment are you capturing today?

Today's flashback: capturing the Leicht family in the magic of Shaw Park.

Between the ruins and overgrown gardens, every corner gave us layers of texture and light that turned simple moments into keepsakes. I love when families come back year after year—watching the tiny changes in each kid through my lens is the sweetest reminder that time is moving and memories matter.

When was your last family session—do you make time for yearly photos?

Three-rific tea parties, tiny pinkies up, and the kind of family giggles that make your heart melt — my session with the Leicht family in August was pure joy. Between sun-washed portraits and candid tea-party chaos, I loved capturing the little moments that say "this is us" — the fun dancing, tiny giggles and big hugs.

Sessions like these remind me why I pick up my camera: to freeze the everyday magic so families can feel it again and again.

Read all about the session here: https://rarevisionphotography.com/2026/09/03/a-three-rific-tea-party-and-picture-perfect-family-moments/ — which photo makes you smile the most?
