✨ Trust the process. And trust your photographer. ✨

Your wedding day probably won’t go exactly according to the timeline.

Someone will be running late.
The flowers might arrive a little differently than expected.
It might start raining.
You might forget something you swore you wouldn’t. 😂

And that’s okay.

One of the biggest things you can do for yourself on your wedding day is trust the professionals you hired.

Your photographer isn’t just there to take pretty pictures. We’re watching the light, the timeline, the emotions, the little moments happening around you—and sometimes we’re quietly figuring out how to make Plan B look like it was always Plan A.

So when I say, “Trust me, we’ve got this,” I mean it.

Take a breath. Enjoy your people. Laugh. Dance. Get a little messy.

You get to be present in your wedding day. Let your photographer worry about the photographs. 🤍

Trust the process.
Trust your team.

Behind the scenes editing photos from a wedding I photographed last week…

When a retired photographer who was a guest and friend of the couple casually jumped in with his iPhone to grab a shot. 😂📱

A shadow was born.

It honestly made me laugh—and once I figured out why there was a massive shadow I decided to make it my mission to make it look like he wasn’t there. I did love seeing some of the goofy fun photos he took which is why I took his photo taking their photos. However it created extra work on my end and made the professional photos suffer. Let’s remember to remind guests that are retired photographers attending your wedding or just a sibling that’s off duty because they couldn’t be the professional photographer to un-plug. This has happened way too many times, I thought sharing this might be a good way to explain it’s not just an extra photo, it takes away time from our day and also in this case took over 40 minutes to edit one image.

Missouri Botanical Garden — Photography Permit & Best Photo Locations

📸 3:00 PM photo entry

* Photography permit is required for formal/posed photography, including engagement sessions and wedding photography.
* 3:00 PM is the latest entry time for a photo session; the session must be completed and the entire party must leave by Garden closing.
* Reservations must be made in advance, at least 24 hours ahead.
* The permit is valid only for the selected date and is nonrefundable.
* The permit covers admission for the entire photography party.

💰 Permit fees:
If you’re working from the Garden’s 2026–2027 permit pricing, the rates you referenced are:

* $80 — portrait/photo session permit
* $250 — wedding photography permit

How I imagine my clients talking about me… 😂

“She’s a little… unpredictable.”
“She had us doing WHAT?!”
“I definitely wasn’t expecting that.”
“But somehow… we laughed the entire time.” 😂

Kidding. Sort of. 😉

I may be a little bit of a wild card behind the camera, but there’s a method to the madness. I want my couples to laugh, loosen up, forget they’re being photographed, and actually have FUN.

Because the best photos aren’t always the perfectly posed ones. Sometimes they’re the ones where you’re laughing so hard you forget there’s a camera there. 🤍📸

So yes… I might make you do something ridiculous.

But I promise you’ll probably love the photo. 😉
