Tune into for the Musials Awards on Sunday, December 28th on CBS!
I had the incredible opportunity to be at the filming of the Musial Awards® a couple of weeks ago, where the nation’s best athletes celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship. It truly filled my cup.
These awards, named after the legendary Stan Musial, honor the year’s most inspiring sports moments and the individuals embodying class, character, and integrity.
🏆 Featured Honoree: Kristi Yamaguchi
From her humble beginnings, facing challenges like club feet, to becoming the first Asian American to win Olympic gold in figure skating, Kristi has not only excelled as an athlete but has also embraced her role as a mentor and ambassador for the sport. Her journey reflects dedication, grace, and the profound impact of sportsmanship through initiatives like Always Dream, which promotes literacy for thousands of families. Role model.
⚾️Jen Pawol
As the first woman umpire in the Major Leagues, Jen has shown extraordinary perseverance and poise in her journey to breaking barriers in a male-dominated sport. Her dedication to encouraging future generations of women in sports exemplifies the spirit of the Musial Awards. She was also hilarious!
🏈Coach Aaron Behm 🥁
In a unique display of community spirit, football coach Aaron Behmfrom of American Fork High School and his team has consistently supported his school band, dressing in team uniforms and cheering them on at annual competitions. He believes in guiding students to be good people, demonstrating how sports and music can intertwine to enrich lives. His “man in the mirror versus the man in the window” guidance was very impactful to me as well.
I truly enjoyed witnessing these remarkable stories firsthand, and I can’t wait for you all to see them and the many other honorees!
👉 Don’t miss out! Tune in this Sunday to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship and the incredible achievements of these athletes. Excellent job Maryville University of Saint Louis
