My number one priority when I show up to a wedding is to help foster an environment of comfort. I try to be as present as possible, so there is no pressure for you to come up with any kind of performance, but rather accept an invitation to be seen authentically. What I’m always hoping for is to see your dynamic and flavor of love really shine, what does it look and feel like to be in love for you and your partner?
If I offer a suggestion for an interaction, what does that I inspire for you? I always say there is nothing you need to be prepared for other than loving your partner and that anything you do organically is more interesting than a pose I can request and it’s true!! I aim to make sure you feel like you can be yourself fully, because there is no wrong way to be in love.
I can always feel this moment of pure joy when we hit that sweet spot, and the images are always my favorite, where I step out of playing a role of director and I come home to my greatest hope, being a witness who can give you photos that look exactly like you.

reworking my website with the brilliant Caitlin Metz and spent hours and hours today digging through the archives for it, and it remains true that every time I see these photos of my parents I’m reminded of the limitless value of having photos of your love story, not just for you but for the people who love you.

This session will always be something I joyfully did for my parents but also a gift I gave myself that I will cherish forever

Amelia & James said “I do” in the most charmed backyard wedding of the year. Perhaps I’m bias because I also had a backyard wedding, but there is nothing sweeter to me than celebrating your marriage in your own home.
They turned their backyard in the cutest hang out, we took their portraits in the golden light of their house, and their family had a hand in putting it together and dancing all evening :’) nothing better than

I love most when an engagement session feels like an ode to a couple’s history and these photos for Anna & Anna are exactly that.
We went to where they had their first date (clementines, classic and perfect!) I got to see where they shared their first kiss, how they laugh together, and the easy energy that such radiates from them. I love love! And I feel endlessly lucky that I can to be around it always :’)

Wedding photography will always be my first love when it comes to documenting something special (and I did get to do kaicees perfect wedding), but more and more I love to support women in their seasons and capture their essence. Whether that’s in their business and branding, their maternity or family photos, or just because portraits to remember a season of life.

Doing Kaicee’s portraits felt like such a hug for the heart. There is nothing better than helping a woman see and celebrate her power. I love Kaicee and these portraits forever :’)
