There’s something so special about an extended family session—bringing multiple generations together, making the most of the time you have, and preserving the people who won’t always be in the same place at the same time. 🤍
I have family who lives out of state, so I know how meaningful these gatherings can be. When everyone is finally together, I want to make the most of it.
My experience photographing large family groups throughout my years as a wedding photographer has made guiding extended family portraits feel natural to me. I’ll gently direct the whole group while creating space for the moments in between—the laughter, the little interactions, the way grandparents look at their grandchildren, and all the personalities that make your family yours.
I love a thoughtful mixture of formal portraits and candid, organic moments, while honoring each generation and making sure everyone has a place in the story.
From styling and location to timing and posing, I guide you through the entire experience so you can simply show up and be together.
For families looking for a St. Louis family photographer who creates organic, true-to-tone, timeless imagery with an elevated feel, extended family sessions are some of my favorites to photograph.
Because these photos aren’t just about getting everyone looking at the camera. They’re about remembering what it felt like to have everyone together. ✨
