Majesty takes its name from a coronation.
The collection was conceived after a visit to the house’s British atelier, where the pen made for King Charles III’s coronation sat on the bench. What came out of it was a brief about dignity and permanence, an object meant to outlast whoever owns it.
Michel Perchin was founded in 1994 and revived in 2025. The Majesty collection is sterling silver under fired vitreous enamel laid over guilloche, 215 diamonds, twenty-five of each colour ever made. Photographed in our St. Louis studio.
Enamel and polished silver both want to mirror the room back at the camera. The work is shaping diffusion until the surface reads rich instead of blown out, then focus stacking several exposures into one frame so the lattice under the enamel and the engraving on the nib stay sharp together.
Two things happened after delivery. The house rebuilt its site on these frames. And Pen World ran the collection across two pages of its August issue using the same photographs.
If you make something that has to survive being looked at closely, that’s the job. St. Louis studio, or ship it to us.
