Before we officially entered into a relationship back in 2021, I always considered what God was going to do before entering into an uncertain relationship. I wasn't always on dating sites back then because I was too busy with my work and going out for ministry for God's glory. I vividly remember the day I registered at Filipino Cupid; it was February 13th, 2021. Since I was busy, I just left my profile open for everyone who wanted to see it. There were times when Gmail flooded me with bunches of notifications from FC, but I was really busy with work and had no time to open them one by one, not until March 13th, 2021. I received just two notifications from Gmail. To be honest, one was from France, which was younger, and the second was Paul, my husband from the USA. I even told myself before that I didn't want to travel to the USA because it was way too far from the Philippines. But upon checking both of their profiles, the guy from France wasn't a Christ believer, and when I checked Paul's profile, I could tell he was very Christian. I didn't waste my time communicating with the guy from France, so I focused my attention on Paul and asked him bunches of questions. We corresponded a lot, at first mostly about our faith, how deep our relationship with our Saviour Jesus Christ was, until he tested me about the story of the wall of Jericho. I'm not the only one he tested with the wall of Jericho story; every woman he met, he tested them, and if they couldn't answer, it meant they weren't the right woman for him, and good thing I passed. I didn't even realize he was testing me; all I knew was that I loved talking about the Bible. Plus, being a Sunday school teacher for a toddler helped me develop my study of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. (I'm not saying I've already read the whole book; I'm not there yet, but I'm trying to read and understand the Bible by the grace of God). Continuing, I was busy again and didn't have the care to message him back for a week. As I opened my account, I found out he had left bunches of messages about his faith and relationship with Christ Jesus and had even left me all of his personal contact information, like his phone number and social media accounts. As I was surprised that he gave me all his information, I started to search for him on Facebook. I didn't have the care to message him on WhatsApp because, to be honest, I don't like that app much, so I just messaged him on Messenger since he gave me access to contact him for free. On Messenger, we started to correspond a lot about our personal lives, asking bunches of questions of each other, trying to see and test again if we were meant to be. We've been officially dating and knowing each other since March 2021. After days, weeks, and months of talking, he decided to book a flight with his son. I even told him that if he couldn't make it(which was 2022), then we should stop corresponding because it's not easy to communicate with someone who didn't have the care to know me personally. So, he worked hard, overtime, to save up for two plane tickets back and forth. It was October 2022 when they finally touched down in the Philippines; it was the month and year we got married. After a month of staying in the Philippines, I was left alone, waiting for my visa to get approved, and by the grace of God, I was approved in January 2025. It took years to see both of them again. Now, today, May 2026, we are ready for our little bundle of joy to arrive. Anytime soon, our baby girl will arrive, and we are so excited for her โค๏ธ โค๏ธ โค๏ธ. Soli Deo Gloria for all He did.
