Hi, clients! I have an important announcement I’d like to share with you all.
After a lot of thought and consideration, I’ve decided to shift my focus toward my current clients and pre-booked clientele, and I will no longer be accepting new bookings for this year at this time. This does not include gift certificates—clients are still welcome to gift sessions from their pre-purchased packages.
I also want to take a moment to address my Pay Your Age Minis. I’ve received some backlash regarding these sessions, and I feel it’s important to share why they mean so much to me.
I have offered Pay Your Age Minis since I started photography nearly 10 years ago, and they have become a staple of my business. I created these sessions as a way to give back to my clients and community and to make professional photography more accessible to families who may be going through financially difficult seasons. Life happens, circumstances change, and sometimes things simply become overwhelming. I want to continue providing an opportunity for families to have beautiful memories captured, regardless of what season of life they may be in.
This decision is about being loyal not only to my clients, but also to myself and my family.
I’ve reached a point where I feel it is important to step back from continuously gaining new clientele and instead give my full attention to the wonderful clients I already have. By doing so, those with existing bundles and packages will have more flexibility and availability to schedule their sessions in the future. My schedule will be less overwhelmed, allowing me to better serve my clients while also creating more time for my own little family.
This year has been unpredictable. The extreme summer heat, illnesses, and unexpected circumstances have resulted in more rescheduling than usual for both my clients and myself. I believe this change will allow me to create a much more manageable schedule, with greater availability for full sessions next year and moving forward.
I would also love to continue offering Pay Your Age Minis periodically throughout the year to my loyal, existing clients. They are something I truly enjoy offering and I’m grateful to be able to continue making them part of my business.
To be clear: I am NOT closing my business. I am simply choosing to focus exclusively on my current pre-purchased and pre-booked clientele for the foreseeable future.
