Yesterday Vicki and I got to meet our newest family member. Miss Penny, you little girl sleep like the dead; we had the best time visiting with your mom, dad, and grandma. I can not wait to watch you grow up.

Vicki and I got to meet these two last Friday. Let me tell you, when poor Vicki got covered in spit-up, it was pretty funny. At least she was holding him facing away from her. That is, it was hilarious until his sister decided to get me too, just a few seconds later. But that comes with the territory when working with babies. A little spit-up is not the worst thing I have had a baby do to me.

But after that lovely christening from them, the session went so smoothly, and they were so sweet!

Cheers to the weekend! It's Friday, and here's what I'm planning:

I'm working at AR Workshop tonight and Sunday. But I have Saturday off, and I can't wait to do something with Andy. We will most likely be watching some Witcher and ordering carry-out.

I'm looking forward to it; after all, December was so busy, and I'm enjoying the time with him now. I'm missing some of our summer explorations.

Hear me out: One of my favorite things about my newborn photography is that it is simple and sweet. Many of my clients agree that this is their favorite part about it, next to the fact that I come to them with timeless props and muted colors.

If I were to create a time capsule of my business today Friday, Janury 7th. I’d put the following 3 things in it: my camera, laptop, and iPad. These are the things I use and love the most for my business...but am I missing anything?

If I had to sum up my Wensday in 3 words, it’d be: relaxed, cozy, and lazy. What can I say? I LIVE for days like this. As a matter of fact, that’s why I started my business in the first place… So I could enjoy days where I could sleep in until 10am, and then just chill out read a book and do my nails. I also get to share adorable baby details with you too. Who doesn't love baby fingers, toes and lips.

How would you describe your day in 3 words?

How did you start a new year?

I'll be honest, I rang in the new year up north. Enjoying a week off after a crazy December working retail. If you didn't know, I also work part-time teaching at AR workshop.

But now it the January 3rd, and it's time to get out of vacation mode and start the first week in 2022. With that it is time to share this adorable family again, they are so cute how could I not..

Do you have any New Year resolutions this year?

I usually don't, but in 2021, it just felt right. This year, just like the rest of the world, I really would like to eat better. So, my first is not eating fast food as much; at least I'm going to try for the whole month of January 🙃 second, I want to figure out my social media. Im just not sure if I want to commit to posting every day or 3 days a week. But I do plan to figure it out.

Happy New Year's Eve!

Raise your hand if the last year has looked just like you thought it would! Yeah? Me neither.

To put it simply. We started and then stopped fertility treatments. After 8 rounds of IUI and deciding against IVF. Andy caught Covid, but thankfully we are both vaccinated so his symptoms where mild. We lost Andy’s mom, and we are still grieving for her everyday. Christmas was especially hard because she loved that holiday so much. On top of all of that I've had zero motivation when it comes to my business. Even less when it comes to promoting my photography on social media.

But one thing I've learned over the last two years.... is that together, Andy and I can survive just about anything.

With all that said, it is New Year's Eve, and it is the perfect time to dig back in, learn from that past, make some plans, and move forward in 2022!
