I’m sitting here thinking about an amazing four days. I just returned from our annual state photography conference for the MOPPA - Professional Photographers Association of Missouri. I was blessed and very honored to receive a very special award: The PPA National Award. My family kept this secret for quite a while and showed up to help me celebrate.

Thank you Aloha, Kim, and Carly for sharing a few cell photos from the event. Someone has big camera photos, but I wanted to share tonight.

Thank you to our great team for helping to put together an amazing annual conference. Especially Debbie Dames DeClue our amazing president and my partner in crime.

Thank you to five remarkable educators who graciously took time to spend with us and help us improve our craft. Anjana Rao Olson, Shawn Lee, Jayme Benabides, Mandy Penn,& David Beckham.

My family was invited to attend and surprise me. I’m so glad they were there to support and celebrate. I wish Gary Poole, my dad, lived closer to celebrate with us. He’s my first influence into the world of photography and is still very active in the art. Surprisingly, they all kept a secret. 💕

To my photography family,I extend much love and gratitude. I’m so glad my two dear friends, Nichole Manner and Cindy Lee Tiefenbrunn were there to celebrate with me as well. Thank you Rodney M. Loesch and the others for the nomination.

Babies are a wonderful way to brighten my day! I’m all set up for a brand new baby girl coming here to the studio.

My 23 year old Hannah doll makes a nice fill-in to get everything just right before they arrive.

Newborns are best photographed in the first 10-14 days but if your baby is older than that, I’ll just adjust the poses and props.

I’m both relieved to have the set cleaned up (and have full use of the studio space) and sad saying goodbye to the Santa set for another year.

2022 had a new big TREE and a WORKSHOP.

Any guesses what will be upgraded or new in 2023? I already have it planned!!
