In "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," all of the underwater shots of the whales were done with remote controlled model whales?

Supervised by Walt Conti, the whales were shot in a swimming pool.

I feel like this guy has always been in my life - his songs, his movie roles. And he was timeless - he looked older when he was young, and younger when he was old. He could have 45 his entire life. Interesting character, and that's a good thing to be able to say about anyone.

Kris Kristofferson, a songwriter who became a country star and A-list actor, died at his home on Maui surrounded by family on Saturday, a spokesperson said in an statement.

A few months ago, Evil Ted Smith and I did a commentary track for the new home video release of the original "The Guyver." It was a lot of fun to sit and reminisce for a few hours about a cool project that essentially helped launch both of our careers.

On Friday I got a surprise in the mail: The company, Unearthed Films, sent both Ted and I copies of the DVD, the collector's edition Blu, and the 4k version that also includes another Blu and the CD soundtrack!!! Holy crap!!!

Who is FAA licensed and has the skills/small enough drone to fly down from an establishing shot and then in through an open door??? From what I understand, this might be something for an FPV operator/drone? This is for an educational video for a museum, and intended to be the intro. Roger Corman, who directed and produced hundreds of B movies and discovered Jack Nicholson, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, has died. He was 98.

Ever seen "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari"? This classic silent film will be playing at the Chase Park Plaza Cinemas May 11 & 12. It is considered by many to be one of the first true horror films, and is also the peak of German Expressionism.

Now if that sounds too fancy, then let me make it simple - Caligari is a visually stunning film with images and designs that have influenced cinema since it premiered over 100 years ago. If you are a fan of horror, you will certainly see images in this film that echo through to today.

The abstract set designs made a big impression on me when I first saw this. It also made me realize that if UFA Studio could make a film like this in 1920, I had no excuses when it came to my own artistic endeavors! And I won't even begin to discuss what this film was trying to say about Germany of the day and where it was heading...
