Thousands in downtown Springfield, IL. Hundreds of people stopped in their tracks for the National Anthem.

For the men and women who serve and have served.

Downtown Springfield went quiet for the National Anthem at the 25th International Route 66 Mother Road Fest, and then the flyover hit. Hats off, hands on hearts, eyes on the sky, the year Route 66 turns 100.

Thank you to everyone who serves. Drop a 🇺🇸 in their honor, and tag someone who was there.

Hubby found bats in the belfry! Well... an attic anyway.

Some days the electrical trade isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Some times it surprises you or “something” surprises you! In an attic on a house rewire, minding my own business and cutting loose some old k**b and tube wiring, and I hear the slightest movement right by my ear. Look up at the vent and what I thought was dirt and debris, was actually bats… guess they got the memo that October is here and Halloween is near. Got my trick, now where’s my treat? 😂
