K. Z. Wentzel Photography Portrait & Event Photography, Specializing In Capturing the Memories & Emotions of Military Life.

My name is Kimberly Wentzel, and I am a portrait and event photographer currently serving the DC/Maryland/Virginia Metropolitan Area. I have a BA in Cinema and Photography from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. My passion is for storytelling, so my education focused on filmmaking and writing. However, after becoming a military spouse, I learned to quickly adapt to our new adventurous lifestyle and channeled my skills into portrait and event photography! I always strive to give my clients a stress-free and fun photoshoot, providing them with a creative, professional, and affordable way to celebrate their lives through photography.

The Class of 2027 is looking sharp!
We could not have asked for a more glorious day for sessions on the National Mall. That early morning wake up can be brutal but the sunrise glow is always worth it. 🤩

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing the annual Armed Forces Day reception at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. 🇳🇱 The weather was absolutely beautiful and the turnout was impressive. What a lovely celebration of freedom and our longstanding international partnership. Very grateful my Dutch friends keep inviting me to document their events. They are the warmest, most generous hosts! 🧡
