Married x2 🤍🎉

This weekend, Nyah & Sam renewed their vows at their church. Privately, they recommitted to each other, before kissing & being announced AGAIN!!! 🥹

We celebrated them last year at the courthouse! It was a chilly February day, absolutely perfect.

After their short n sweet ceremony, I was so excited to celebrate them again in 2026.

When planning for wedding portraits for their big white wedding— they did not have a specific location in mind. Just vibes. 💫 They trusted me for ideas. Me!!! An honor.

After we did not only their courthouse ceremony but also their traditional Nigerian prewedding shoot, I had some ideas. 😏

Colorful wallpaper at Vondra Social House, Airbnb portraits, and the most dramatic— a burgundy backdrop in an empty parking lot.

Dramatic. Regal. Excellent. 👑

Very them. Absolutely perfect.

But the best part of the whole day? Dancing with Sam & Nyah that night. The joy that comes from dancing cannot be manufactured or feigned. To share in such joy all day, to express it late into the night was incredible.

The most anticipated dance floor of the year?!?!! ✨

When Nyah inquired with me back in Jan of 2025 (yes 21 months ago), she explained—

“It’s a multicultural party! My fiancé is Nigerian so it will be big, loud, and full of food and dancing. I want to make sure everyone has a fun time and gets to let loose! We want to capture all the sweet moments of us celebrating together.”

And yall I was excited and counting down the months til this past weekend.

The vibes were: Arwen & Aragorn 🤍💫

Bringing my couple’s vision to life is always SO fun. Because each of my couples have an idea of what they want from their engagement photos— they just need my help making it real.

I’ve been to Allerton A LOT through the years. But each time I go there is something slightly different about how I photograph it. The couples bring their own energy & stories there, and we create something different every time. I freaking love it.

We started off their session reservation space in the Allerton Mansion Library for some cosy vibe. Daniel plays guitar extremely well, and Ashley loves to read. The library was a dreamy spot for those moments.

Then we transition to outside!! Ashley & Daniel love Lord of the Rings. Green flag btw 💚 we roamed the gardens for some etherial feeling photos out of an elvish love story. I got to try some new spots at Allerton that felt like we were entering Rivendell.

What a job I have!! A&D are so sweet todhether. So excited to hang out with them again for their wedding next year. It’s gonna be fantastical!! ✨💫

your hometown dive bar is actually really cool 😎 trust me, because your engagement photos might end up feeling like a Lana Del Ray music video 🎶

This fall has been so so so good. Mikayla & Clint’s engagement session was extra special for so many reasons. Clint brought his fam’s 1960’a electric Blue Malibu for retro vibes and WOW she is a stunner. And Mikayla!! Also a stunner. So fun to hang out and try new things, getting to know each other a little more before their wedding day next year.

I’ve never been to ” The Other Bar” in Morrisonville, IL, but issa VIBE! 🎱🍺Clint grew up in Morrisonville so we used it was the backdrop of their session. Upon arrive I noticed a huge stack of railroad ties and made sure to use it as a backdrop. UGH so fun.

The perfect start to the weekend — the rehearsal dinner 💫

Which are VASTLY overrated!!!

You & boo are all dressed up!! 💅🏻Your loved ones are also dressed up with you— a smaller group than who all will show up tomorrow. You catch up, yapp, have a drink, and get really excited for what’s to come. 🍕🍸

What was extra special bout Haley & Danny’s rehearsal were the speeches. Rather than having a wedding party the following day, with speeches at dinner, the asked their best friends to give speeches the night before. 🥹

Pizza + cocktails + loved ones AND photos?? The perfect start to your wedding weekend imo 😉

First date at Epiphany Farms ➡️ to then MARRIED at Epiphany Farms Estate 🥹🎉

Jillian & Lee started their day off with a first look, and ended the night making friendship bracelets in-between dancing. 🪡

The way Lee folks looks Jillian is the stuff of romance movies. The way they laugh together lights up the room!!

Recreating their fist bump pic from their engagement session was perfect— this time Jillian & Lee had wedding bands on their fingers. 🥹

Epiphany Farms KNOWS how to cook good food. 😋 How fun is it to incorporate the meaningful touches of your relationship to your wedding day.

So so SO happy for Lee & Jillian to continue their adventures together. 🤜🤛🤍 CONGRATS LOVEBIRDS 🥹

It’s officially 🍂October🍁

October is filled with so many new weddings, and anniversaries!! 🥹

The temperature is ✨finally✨ dropping, the leaves start to change, sunset photos are earlier than 8:00pm— it’s beautiful, cosy, and oh so special.

Sarah & Kyle’s day last October at Wind Song Acres was simple, intentional, and wonderful.

sake + ramen + dance floor = deliciously fun reception 😋

Kristi & Hide hosted their 3rd and final wedding at the Legacy Building, just north of Bloomington. They did the courthouse wedding, the traditional Japanese wedding— then it was time for a good old midwest party.

It was so cool to see K&H mix traditions for their third wedding— pour sparkling sake for their guests & drinking together, as well as the newlywed shoe game & bouquet toss.🍶👠👞

Planning three celebrations is not for the faint of heart— but a beautiful way to honor your love between each other and your guests. Having everyone in the same room was so special, folks came in from Texas, California, Washington, Japan and more for Kristi & Hide. 🥹

Because it’s your wedding! And you can do whatever you want. And I would love to be there for ya. ☺️
