My first daughter, Maisy Lane, was killed by her babysitter in the 2017. When we had her little sister in 2019, I knew I couldn’t return to my teaching job and put her in childcare. Photography allows me to stay home with my daughter while supporting my family. After Maisy died, all we really had left of her was in photos or video. It made me realize how important these things really are. My hope is to give you photos you will treasure forever. �

A bittersweet announcement ❤️💔

After several wonderful years photographing so many incredible families here, our family will be moving to Alabama. We will fully transition to the Tuscaloosa area at the end of the school year.

This business has meant so much to me and my family. I’ve had the honor of photographing growing families, brand new babies, engagements, milestones, and so many sweet moments in between. Watching your kids grow up in front of my camera has truly been one of the greatest joys of this work. 🩷

Before we go, I will be offering TWO final dates of mini sessions as a last chance for me to photograph some of your beautiful families here. I’ll be announcing those dates soon.

To celebrate all the memories we’ve captured together, I’d love to do something fun with my past clients!

I have to admit that I’ve been TERRIBLE about posting on social media this year. I’m still here! Just busy. ‘Tis the season, am I right? 🍪🌲

I know we are all swamped as the holiday season is in full gear, but I had to hop on here and share the most precious milk bath session EVER. This girl smiled non-stop for an hour! I think it was the easiest milk bath I’ve ever done.

And isn’t she a beauty too? 🥹

Sad news 😢

The schoolhouse repairs were scheduled to be done by September 20th, but unfortunately they found more damage on the other side. Repairs will now go into October, and we will be unable to hold Schoolhouse sessions this year.

Classic Schoolhouse Sessions Update!

The nonprofit that manages the schoolhouse has a meeting this Tuesday. After that, they're hoping to have an update on the storm damage repair to the schoolhouse. Fingers crossed for good news so we can schedule those adorable back to school photos.

Schoolhouse Sessions 🍎

I’ve gotten quite a few messages about schoolhouse sessions this year, and I wanted to update everyone and get feedback on potential next steps.

While in the process of getting dates worked out with the organization that manages the school house, a bad storm caused damage to the roof there.

We were looking at dates in September and even late August, but the roof repair could take longer. They are updating me as they know more.

Ideally, the roof repair will be quick and we will get things scheduled sooner. However, would there still be interest in these if they happened in late September or even early October?

I’m also open to using a desk at an outdoor location, but those sessions be limited to the younger children - preschool and lower elementary- due to the size of the desk.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this as I plan!
