2021 is just about to end! I can’t believe another 12 months have gone by. We did it! My family took a hike every month this year to admire nature, connect with each other, get moving, and collect treasures to create beautiful art. It was a wonderful year long photo project that is complete.

October is so special. Our Anniversary on the 4th, Eli’s birthday on the 10th, and Miles’ birthday on the 21st. A month of celebration that is adorned with colorful changing leaves on the trees.
We went on our Family Hike near the very end of October and found many treasures.

Seasons changing and the year keeps moving forward. Fall is my favorite season-the cooler air, earthly smells, and beautiful colors.
It’s the last quarter of the year which makes me think of goals. A family goal of ours was to go on family hikes each month where we gather a collection of treasures we find while hiking. I’m so excited our family has been able to go on our monthly hikes. Here’s the documentation for September’s Family Hike

I'm excited to share our August Family Hike. This one is special because Oliver turned 6 the day we ventured out in the heat to collect treasures. There were so many butterflies throughout the hike fluttering about and landing on everyone. Daddy moved a butterfly to Oliver's finger at the beginning of the hike, and it sat on his finger for at least 15 minutes as we made our way to the water. He was so proud of that butterfly on his finger.

Get in the photo with your kids!
I took some time with the kids to capture our legs. I purposefully left all the cuts, scraps, bruises, and imperfections. This is real life in the Birman house-imperfectly creating beauty together.

I'm so glad my older kids went along with my request. It's so strange seeing there legs next to mine because they are growing up so fast.

I'm also so in awe of the tiny legs next to mine. They are oh so cute. I'm so grateful to God has entrusted me to be these kid's Mum.

It's always an adventure when trying new things.
I made a family portrait using layers in photoshop for the first time.
I also use natural light most of the time. This time we set up one ring light with an orange diffuser. Artificial light can be fun too.
I see all the flaws, but this is still a pretty fun image.

Happy Mother's Day-Families Grow Together

Seeds are amazing-so much life and potential packed into one tiny place!

The Lord is a very good Gardener! From heaven He seeds two kinds of seed that are His primary tools to bring about a harvest of souls on earth. You have the privilege of being deeply involved in the sowing of both kinds of His seeds.

God’s seeds: His People and His Word

We are the Lord’s good seed, sown by Him into the world. That is what we are to those around us, every day.
We can sow the good seed of God’s Word. So be the Lord’s good seed every day, and sow His Word-seed as often as opportunities arise. God will give the harvest.

As we speak God’s Word we are planting the seed in our heart for a great harvest. Those seeds will grow up and produce goodness and righteousness. Whatever you need to be saved or delivered from, confession is essential to produce good results. So pour your heart out to God in prayer.

We are all God’s seeds and we can pretty much look after ourselves, but we need to recognize that seeds flourish even better with a gardener. God promised to watch over us, to cultivate and build us up, and to plant us where we need to be. Live freely, and let God be your Gardener.

God is growing wonderful things all around you!

What has God been speaking to your heart today?

These paper flowers were made from hearts.
All my boys are holding the purple and teal one and my girls are holding the pink one.

God has molded each and every heart in a unique way. When we come together we can create something magical and amazing.
