🎄 2026 Holiday Minis are coming! 🎄

It's almost that time of year again! We've been busy getting everything ready at the studio, and this year we're bringing a little Christmas tree farm to Photography by Kari! 🌲

Maverick was happy to help us test out the new setup, so here's a little sneak peek at what we have planned for this year's Holiday Minis!

We're also making a few changes this year! Along with our traditional session package that includes prints and custom holiday cards or an ornament, we'll now be offering an upgrade to two new package options that include digital images! Our traditional package will start at $165

We snuck in a few family photos during last night’s senior session, and of course the dogs had to be included too.

Yesterday, we decided to stay warm inside since it was cold and windy, but we still managed to bring a little fall into the studio for this sweet 3-year-old’s session.

What do you do on a rainy day in October? Start getting Christmas ready at the studio, of course! 🎄

We spent some time today getting our Christmas set put together and taking a few sample images of Maverick to test out this year’s Christmas tree farm setup!

It’s still a work in progress, but I wanted to share a quick cell phone photo of what we were up to at the studio today and give you a little sneak peek at what we have planned!

Finished up Cody’s senior session this morning and had to share this one.

Cody brought along his dad’s truck from high school, and he found the perfect spot for it, gravel road, big beautiful fall trees, and the sun shining through behind him.

Cody and his older brothers have always had some of the best ideas and locations picked out for their senior photos; this location did not disappoint. I love that it also has a little family history added in.

Love when we can work something personal into a senior session and make the photos mean just a little more.

Also, a little shoutout to my Uncle Neil for helping me out as my assistant this morning. I may need to bring him along more often; spending time with him is always a good time. He is always cracking a joke, and he definitely had Cody laughing. I may have been the butt of most of those jokes this morning, but I’ll take it. 😂

I’m so thankful to everyone who took the time to vote.

We’ve been lucky enough to photograph so many families, seniors, babies, athletes, pets, businesses, teams, and events over the years, and I’m incredibly thankful for all of you who continue to come back, recommend us to others, and support us.

Photography by Kari has been around for 21 years, and I still never take it for granted when people choose us to capture their important moments.

I also have to give a huge thank you to my assistants. So much of what we do would not be possible without them. I’m very lucky to have them by my side.

Thank you so much for all of the support; it really means a lot.

And of course Maverick made sure he was part of the award photo too. 😂

Happy wedding day, Rylee & Jackson! 🤍

Rylee has been one of my assistants for years, so I’ve gotten to share a lot of life with her along the way, plenty of sessions, long days, laughs, and memories behind the camera. Getting to watch this chapter of her life unfold has been pretty special.

It is the perfect day to finally share a few photos from right after they got engaged. We took them on a beautiful late-October evening after we did a family session with Rylee's family. Looking back at these now, I just love how happy the two of them were. It makes them even more special to share today as they officially start this next chapter together.

Wishing you both the best day today and so many years of love, laughter, adventures, and happy memories ahead.

🤎🍿🤠 A little preview from C**t’s newborn session today. 🤎🍿🤠

We had a little fun with his session and worked in a couple of things that are pretty special to his family.

First up, the Klassen Popcorn Stand’s newest employee. His great-grandma started the family popcorn stand, so of course C**t needed his own shirt and a photo to officially join the crew.

We also did a western setup using a little bed that has special meaning to his family, pretty fitting for a little guy named C**t.

I always love when we can add little things to a newborn session that make the photos feel more personal to the family.
