🎓 2026 Senior Session Spotlight: Greta 🎓

Greta's senior session was especially fun because I've known her family for years. Her parents are friends, her mom was a classmate of mine in high school, and a few years ago I had the privilege of photographing her brother's senior photos as well. It's always special to watch families grow and come back for another session.

Some seniors build their session around sports. Some around activities. Some around a favorite location.

Greta's session was a little bit of everything.

Golf clubs, tennis racquets, knitting needles, books, two dogs, and even a rain delay all became part of her senior session.

We started in the studio with some classic portraits and a few photos showcasing her love of knitting before heading to Good Earth Village for outdoor photos. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and cut our session short with rain.

A few weeks later, we met up again to finish her session. We visited Maple Valley Golf Course, the tennis courts at Stewartville High School, and the Stewartville Public Library, where we incorporated her two dogs and her love of reading.

What I loved most about Greta's session was how every stop, every prop, and every activity reflected something she genuinely enjoys. By the time we finished, Greta's session was filled with the things that make her uniquely her.

🎓 2026 Senior Session Spotlight: Brede 🎓

With my first Class of 2027 senior session coming up next week, I figured it was time to finish sharing some of my amazing Class of 2026 seniors!

Brede's senior session was one of those sessions that truly captured who he is. Spread across two sessions, it highlighted many of the activities and accomplishments that shaped his years at Southland High School.

From volleyball, track, One Act Play, and spring musicals to graduation, we photographed the passions and achievements that have been such a big part of his high school journey. Between studio portraits, outdoor photos at Good Earth Village and the Grand Meadow High School track, and cap and gown photos in the Southland auditorium, we covered a lot of ground over the course of the year!

I love when senior sessions tell a story, and Brede's story is one of athletics, theater, faith, hard work, dedication, and a lot of great memories.

Congratulations, Brede! Wishing you all the best as you graduate and begin your next adventure.

🎓❤️ One chapter ends, another begins. ❤️🎓

One more Collin post this week, because these photos were just too special not to share.

Collin has graduated from Stewartville High School, while Miss K is getting ready to start preschool this fall. Watching these siblings together was a sweet reminder of how quickly the years pass and how important it is to celebrate every milestone along the way.

We snapped these photos while Mother Nature couldn't decide whether to give us sunshine or a light rain shower, but somehow it felt fitting for a day full of endings, beginnings, and memories in the making. And neither seemed to mind the rain.

We also included Dr. Seuss's Oh, the Thinks You Can Think! in a few photos. Knowing these two and their sense of humor, I'm not entirely sure I want to know what they're thinking half the time! 😂 But whatever mischief, adventures, dreams, and big ideas are running through their minds, I can't wait to see where they take them.

These photos definitely pulled at my heartstrings. ❤️

🎓 2026 Senior Session Spotlight! 🎓

It seems like just yesterday I was taking photos of Collin as a newborn, and today he's finishing his senior year at Stewartville High School. Since graduation is this weekend, I figured it's about time I shared some of his senior photos from this fall.

We started at Stewartville High School, highlighting two sports that have been a huge part of his high school years, football and baseball. We even created a few images combining both sports to showcase the dedication, hard work, and countless hours he's poured into each one.

From there, we stopped at Meadow Park in Stewartville before heading to downtown Rochester for some urban portraits. As the sun began to set and the city lights came on, we captured some incredible images that gave his gallery a completely different feel.

One of my favorite parts of the session was including his dog, Tipsy. We even recreated photos we took eight years ago when she was just a puppy. Looking at those images side by side is a reminder of just how quickly the years fly by.

As his cousin, this session was especially meaningful. Watching Collin grow from into the young man he is today has been a privilege, and I couldn't be more proud of him.

There’s just something extra special about getting to photograph moments like this

Sweet little Miss V made her debut, and I couldn’t be happier for this beautiful family. A family of five now, one proud big brother and one sweet sister to love on their newest little addition. And Miss V? Absolute perfection from her tiny toes to those dreamy newborn snuggles.

So much love wrapped up in one little girl 💗

Welcome to the world, Miss V. You are already so, so loved.
