📍 Location Spotlight: Lillington River Park

This week's Spotlight Series features Lillington River Park, a peaceful outdoor location nestled along the Cape Fear River in Lillington.

One of the things I love about this location is the combination of open space and natural scenery. The park features a beautiful open area in the center surrounded by nature walking trails that follow alongside the river, creating a variety of backdrops for outdoor photography. From the peaceful wooded paths to the views of the Cape Fear River, this location offers a relaxed and natural setting perfect for capturing genuine moments.

Another unique feature of Lillington River Park is the covered outdoor area that occasionally hosts local bands and community gatherings, adding a fun and welcoming atmosphere to the space. The park also includes a playground for little ones to enjoy, a pavilion with picnic tables, and a bathhouse, making it a convenient spot for families to spend the day.

Come along with us for a little peek at our afternoon exploring the Village Arboretum. 🌿✨

I had such a fun time exploring this beautiful place with my girls! As an outdoor photographer, I absolutely loved the natural backdrop it offers. Around every corner was another charming little spot that would make the perfect setting for photos. It's definitely a hidden gem, and I can't wait to come back for future sessions!

📍 Location Spotlight: The Arboretum Village | Pinehurst

This week's Spotlight Series features The Arboretum Village in Pinehurst, and I have to say… this may be one of my favorite locations I’ve discovered yet. 🌿

What I love most about this location is how every little corner offers something new to explore. Tucked throughout the property are so many beautiful backdrops, including open fields, flower gardens, covered trellises, peaceful nature trails, and charming little bridges that cross over creeks. There are so many hidden gems here that create endless opportunities for beautiful, storytelling images.

The Arboretum Village has such a peaceful and timeless feel, making it a wonderful option for a variety of sessions. I also learned that the property may be reserved for weddings, receptions, and other events (with rental fees and a deposit required), making it a beautiful setting for those special occasions as well.

One of my favorite things about this location is that it sits right beside Wicker Park, which makes it a great spot for families looking to turn their visit into a full experience. Wicker Park offers something for everyone, including a beautiful playground, public splash pad, tennis courts, hockey rink, bocce courts, shuffleboard courts, a multipurpose field, and paved walking trails.

During our visit, I even had the chance to bring my own kids over to enjoy the splash pad after exploring The Arboretum Village, and it was the perfect way to cool off and end our day. The clean restroom facilities located near the playground and splash pad were also such a convenient bonus for families.

Whether you're looking for a beautiful photography location or simply a fun place to spend the day with your family, The Arboretum Village and Wicker Park are definitely worth exploring.
