Hello, October 🍂
I’ve been waiting for you.

09/02/2026

Hi, hello, hey.
I thought I’d give a reintroduction to…well, me 👋🏽 I haven’t done one of these since I entered my 40s so here we go.

+ Phill Collins was the soundtrack to my childhood summers spent at the Sinking Spring pool.

+ When working in the studio I rarely listen to podcasts but put on a really good movie soundtrack to keep me in the flow. Currently in rotation → Project Hail Mary, Sinners, Dirty Dancing.

+ I have been a photographer for half my life at this point, dabbling in weddings early on (don’t all newbie photographers?) and then realizing that commercial photography where I could create a whole scene from scratch was my sweet spot.

+ I’m what they call a “no sabo” kid. A latina who doesn’t speak Spanish well or at all. This was a struggle for me in my teens and late 20s. But food is my love language anyway and my rice and beans are fcking 🔥 so.

+ It wasn’t a huge surprise when I was diagnosed adhd this year but it did create space for me to better manage the symptoms and feel less alone with my adhd friends Sarah Detweiler | Art Haji-Seeks sharing their wisdom and tricks!

+ Cloudy days continue to be my favorite ☁️

+ I recently figured out the trick to listening to more audiobooks! The narration has to be the same speed as my thoughts. 1.30x is the sweet spot 👌🏽

+ I don’t watch sports but I *love* a great sports documentary.

+ Favorite summertime treats are nectarines and margaritas

+ As a self proclaimed Summer Goblin, I have actually enjoyed most of this Summer. But Fall could not come soon enough.

Come paint itty bitty squares with me!

In this two-hour workshop, you’ll begin by developing your own custom color palette, then use washi tape to create a grid of squares to paint over with soft, layered washes inspired by your colors.

Feel free to bring an image or palette that inspires you!

And the most satisfying moment? Lifting the tape at the end to reveal those crisp, colorful little squares.
