Good for the land, good for the community! 🌲✨

We had the pleasure this past weekend of working alongside Inland Northwest Land Conservancy and our amazing fellow volunteers to plant hundreds of young native trees near the Little Spokane River. 🌲

INLC is restoring the Waikiki Springs area to its former natural glory, revitalizing the wetlands and bringing native plants back to the floodplain. It felt so good to get our hands dirty, pick up a shovel and make a hopeful investment in the future of our region.

For anyone interested in joining in and planting some trees, you didn't miss your chance! The final weekend of planting for this year is taking place this coming Saturday, the 24th. Sign up at inlandnwland.org/get-involved/volunteer/.

Supporting someone starts with listening. Without judging, without interrupting, without trying to fix everything. You don’t need the perfect words. You just need to be there. Being heard heals. 💜

Everyone has a role in ending domestic violence.

Thank you to Rogue Heart Media for creating this PSA.

ICYMI, for this year's People Who Care luncheon, it was our honor to help share Linda's story of creating home and finding forgiveness following years of surviving abuse, addiction, and homelessness. Thank you, Linda, for trusting us with your story. 🧡

Through our work with Transitions, we have been introduced to some truly incredible - and incredibly strong - women in Spokane. When we talk about "media that makes a difference," capturing these stories is what we mean.

We hope you'll join us in supporting Transitions' work with women and children in Spokane: https://transitions.givecloud.co/product/PWC26/people-who-care-2026-donation

One week later and our minds are still on Growth & Wholeness and being in community with you.🧡

Last Thursday, our team supported Transitions' People Who Care luncheon. We deeply appreciate and support the work they do with women and children experiencing homelessness in Spokane. It was lovely to enjoy a meal with so many of our friends and fellow supporters. And the speakers' authentic stories were truly meaningful; we thank them for sharing!

It was our honor to capture Linda's story for the event video; we're excited to share that with you soon!

If you weren't able to make the event, you can still support the incredible work they're doing! Even $25 allows someone to access food and care every day for a week. https://transitions.givecloud.co/product/PWC26/people-who-care-2026-donation

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we are proud to share the PSA project that easily took over 100 people to create, with intentional messaging designed across six languages to strengthen our support for survivors (poster designs by Hanncel Studio). 🧡

Led by MiA - Mujeres in Action in partnership with River City Youth, YWCA Spokane, Northeast Youth and Family Services, and Manzanita House, with grant support from Waters Meet Foundation and collaboration with Refugee and Immigrant Connections Spokane this is a community response to STAND WITH SURVIVORS, and stop the violence.

🥰 Please share far and wide... this is 1 of 3 PSAs: BELIEVE, LISTEN, CONNECT...
Back in June for World Refugee Day, we welcomed over 75 people of all ages through the video booth to stand in solidarity with survivors - it was AMAZING! Thank you to everyone who participated.

EEEK! October is nearly here! 🍂✨
But who else is excited to attend Transitions' People Who Care event this Thursday?

It has been our honor to partner with Transitions since 2014, helping to authentically highlight stories of hope & healing within this powerful annual event. Through their many programs, Transitions provides women and children in Spokane with safety, stability, connection, job training, housing, and so much more - central to which is a caring COMMUNITY. 🧡 Thank you for being part of that!

We're overflowing two tables this year - hope to see ya there! 🥰

Have you purchased your Spokane SOUP tickets yet?? We hope you do this week, because we're lucky to be one of the presenters in partnership with our dear friends at Growing Neighbors!

The money from your registration directly contributes to the micro-grant amount that will go to the winning idea at this year's SOUP. At SOUP, we'll hear each pitch, enjoy a meal together, and vote on which idea should receive the funding raised through registration to make their idea a reality! 🎉 We cannot wait to be in community with you on October 11, sharing good ideas and a great meal!

Tickets are on sale until Sept 27 or until they sell out, so grab yours today!

We're celebrating two years of Payton Wyatt! 🧡✨ Payton brightens our team every day, and we're happy to celebrate their Workiversary on with a $100 donation to the nonprofit of their choice: Inland Northwest Land Conservancy

"Every time I have the honor of filming with INLC, I feel so lucky by the abundance of beauty surrounding us - whether we're thousands of feet up in the air on an aerial flight or digging holes in the dirt to plant trees. The Inland NW has always been my home, and this area holds so many of my favorite places and activities - like jumping into the Spokane River! That never fails to ground me. Especially during this season, the need to care for the land and waters has been real, y'all. So let us care for the dirt and the bugs as we find our place in the family of things."

Learn more about the amazing work they do & volunteer opportunities on their website! And come hang out with us at the AMAZING Waikiki Plantings in October!

This is a story with heart. 🧡

We were thrilled to work with our friends at Zero Emissions Northwest to highlight their Giving Grid program, which helps rural communities implement solar power - at no cost to the communities. The money saved is then able to be reallocated toward students and local low-income programs. It's the kind of ripple effect we love to see: the money they're saving is re-invested into their local communities, meaning those dollars go farther.

So far, the Giving Grid has awarded more than $11.2 million in grant funding! With 20 schools now under their belt - four in Colville alone - the Giving Grid is making big impacts in small communities.

We can't wait to see where it takes them next.

Shoutout to Giving Grid partners Partners for Rural Washington, Craft3, Ellensburg Solar, WSU Pullman - WSU Energy Program, and the Sustainable Energy Trust managed by the WA State Housing and Finance Commission.
