Delaney Nachreiner… St George’s School. My FIRST 2027 senior in the books! And I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter girl to kick off the season with. Delaney is the second daughter I’ve gotten to shoot in her family who will graduate from St George’s. It’s a tiny school and although she wants to continue her education at a smaller college… she says maybe not THAT small :) Delaney is a runner and loves cross country and track. And she sings! Excited for your senior year Delaney!

Mini Prom… this is maybe one of the sweetest shoots I’ve ever been blessed to be part of. Beautiful Lily, in the yellow dress, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year during her junior year of high school. School stopped. Social life stopped. Really her world stopped. She wasn’t able to go to prom. So her sweet friends threw one for her 🥹 They planned the date, the food, the location, the photographer, and made such a special night for her. These are the type of friends I hope for for every high schooler 💕 They are dancers together at and you can feel their love and support for each other immediately. Thank you, sweet dancers, for letting me be part of this beautiful moment! And please everyone join me in praying for Lily 🙏🏼💕

Hi! This is me 📸 Gosh I prefer the other side of the camera but every once in awhile I stretch myself to get on the other side of that lens to see how my clients feel as I snap away at them. did a great job putting me at ease and helping my actual smile come out 😃

Senior season kicks off this week for me and I am PUMPED to meet a whole new crew of seniors and their families! So I decided I should introduce myself…

My name is Jenna Starr, hence STARR images. I have loved photography for as far back as I can remember. I had a tiny hot pink 110mm key chain camera when I was a kid and I took it allllll over the country on my family’s massive road trips. It went from Disneyland to Mt Rushmore to the White House to the Grand Canyon and everywhere inbetween. My dad and I used to dream up ideas on how I could support myself as a budding photographer straight out of college. I didn’t trust any of our plans so got my degree in teaching. I taught 2nd & 3rd grade for 6 years and LOVED it! But then my husband and I had our first baby so I quit teaching to be a mom. But photography ran DEEP and blossomed in a whole new way once I had a baby of my own to take pics of! And then my family and friends asked if I could take pics of their babies too. And before I knew it, I had a little business.

That was 16 years ago and I still love it more than I ever imagined I could💕Thank you for being here… I know Spokane has a lot of amazing photographers and I feel so honored every time someone chooses me 📸

CASA PARTNERS fundraiser… ever heard of a CASA? Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers who represent what’s best for a child in a dependency court case. These are kids who didn’t have a choice in their circumstances, but suddenly find themselves displaced from their homes, families, and normalcy. CASA Partners raises money to support organizations that help CASA’s do their job and help kids find some joy, comfort, and safety.

You can tell a LOT of heart and grit went into planning every detail of this event… from the BEAUTIFUL venue .509venue , the yummy wine from , the delicious grazing board from , decadent dessert from , custom wood drink tokens from , glasses for cheering from , brews from and , photo booth from .spokane , 900 tea lights representing the number of displaced children in Spokane, and soooo much more.

Amazing sponsors and an amazing event to raise money for our most vulnerable population, kids. This is an organization I’m thrilled to be learning about and am anxious to get more involved. 💕

2026 Prom… So glad we got to do this again! Last year these two drove this Mustang to my son’s prom and this year they drove it to his girlfriend’s. It’s my husband’s and he’s had it since high school. He drove his date to prom in it and picked me up for our first date in it. It’s so sentimental. It gets driven maybe twice a year. We debate selling it all the time but just can’t. I love taking these cute kids’ photos… with or without the car. 💕

Kobe & Samantha…

Are about to get married!!! 💍 These two are absolutely adorable and completely smitten with each other. Throughout our shoot I kept telling them to just hang out and talk to each other or look at each other or laugh together or whatever. Every time, they would totally get lost in each other and it was the SWEETEST🥹

I met Sam through (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). I’ve loved hearing her and Kobe’s story and how their years of friendship became the love of their life. Kobe played college basketball and Sam played college volleyball. They both decided to move across the state to help grow Spokane’s FCA. They’ve put their complete trust in wherever God leads them… in their work, their relationship, their life, their day to day decisions. It’s pretty incredible to watch and I’m pumped to see what God does next.

I just adore you two and am honored to get to watch your life begin together💍 💕 💒

Michele 💕My beautiful friend went to heaven one week ago today. We forced this shoot to happen back in October after she had already fought breast cancer HARD for over a year and a half. For the second time. Gosh she battled. She did everything a person could possibly do to kill cancer… from medical to homeopathic to even kinda “out there”. She was open to anything that would let her stay with her 4 guys a second longer. I felt so honored to watch her TRY to live. She knew how blessed she was by these guys and just wanted more of it.

your mom loved your conversations and the way you invited her into your life. You made her feel important and needed.❤️ your mom felt so protected by you and comforted by your presence. You made her feel safe and loved.❤️ your mom was inspired by your faith and loved watching you put Jesus first. You made her feel hopeful and helped her remember heaven is better. ❤️ (BJ) she told me more times than I can count that you were her rock. Everyone that had the privilege of watching you care for her is changed for the better. You really made her feel loved and cherished to her core.❤️

I will sure miss my friend. But knowing how full her life was with these guys and picturing her breathing easily, laughing, and watching her boys do all the amazing things they will do makes me smile. This last pic is the crazy that will continue in the Compau home and I can hear Michele’s giggle watching them. Love you Michele and I’m so grateful for every memory with you. 🙏🏼

Stanton Fam… these are some pretty special people to us. One of my hubby’s best friends is this guy in the green shirt. Actually we kinda owe meeting each other to Nate. He was the one on my husband’s boat back in 2000 who was brave enough to dive off and swim over to our boat so the boy boat could meet the girl boat. Thanks Nate 💕 Of course he was then in our wedding and their 40 year friendship has evolved into a family friendship that we cherish. While visiting Spokane over the holidays, we snuck in a shoot with his younger bro’s family who have also become our buddies. Seeing all these people makes for a pretty awesome holiday treat. We love you Stanton’s!
