Ashtyn McKinney… Ferris Senior. I’ve gotten to take this cutie’s pics virtually her whole life. I remember going to their home to take infant photos of her baby sister when she was probably two years old. And years later, heading out to their lake cabin for a family shoot. And so many full and mini sessions in between. Now senior pics 🥹It is such an honor every time I get asked back and I feel so blessed to have these kids and families in my life 🙏🏼Ashton had such a simple but stunning theme for her senior pictures and I loved her vision! She’s stuck to all cream outfits it all was so cohesive! Although Ashtyn is a Ferris senior, she also does running start. She wants to pursue dental hygiene after she graduates like her mom. Ashtyn, I have loved watching you grow up and I really hope our shoots don’t stop here! 🩷

C**t Few… Gonzaga Prep Senior. C**t is the last Few senior 😥Getting to know this family over the years has been incredible. With the fame that has come their way with the incredible success of C**t’s dad Mark, coaching Gonzaga men’s basketball for almost 30 years and being inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame this year, you would think they could be snooty or pretentious. But NOPE… they are the most down to earth, kind, humble, and generous family. And C**t follows suit. What a GREAT kid. His smile is worth a million bucks and he truly has the sweetest demeanor. He wasn’t too cool for any ridiculous thing I asked him to do and cruised around downtown with his mom and I for as long as we wanted. All 3 of C**t’s older siblings have moved out now which was fresh at our shoot and I loved & hated how much C**t missed them. It shows how tight their family is but I also felt so bad for him. But… he’s picking up new hobbies to stay busy like guitar! C**t, your personality and drive are going to take you so far in life! Keep being the Few that you are!

Kaylee Reynolds… Lakeside Senior. Poor Kaylee was supposed to shoot on a warm August evening but ended up having emergency surgery so had to reschedule to a mid Sept morning. And let’s just say it wasn’t super warm. We could see her breath in that crisp Fall sunrise. It was cool but brrr. Sorry Kaylee!!! I was fascinated listening to her tell me about some of her interests. One of them being neuroscience. She is super interested in the connection between the brain and how it affects the physical body. She’s pretty dang smart too because I literally almost couldn’t track her. Kaylee also plays hockey and is from the south and has the cutest accent ever! You are a little ray of sunshine and bundle of smiles Kaylee and I loved getting to meet you so much!

Ok I’m gonna beg 😬 I live in Nine Mile, my kids have grown up in the Nine Mile Falls School District, STARRimages is a sponsor of the Lakeside High School Booster Club, I’ve shot more kids at LHS than I can count, and I’m on the Booster Board. Sooooo you could say LHS is kinda close to my heart. Well our little single A high school has a real chance at winning something huge.. the T-Mobile $1M stadium makeover. This means so much for a few reasons…

Lakeside High School is 30+ years old is and so rundown. We cannot for the life of us pass a bond for new facilities. Unfortunately, our voters wouldn’t even pass a levy last year to replace our leaking roof and broken HVAC system. We are by far the most rundown of any school we travel to for sports both in and out of district.

Then the Spokane fires hit and much of our community was affected. 90% had to evacuate and many lost homes.

So when this T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights competition started, it brought light and hope and community to a whole new level. We have been working so hard to win what we can to improve our school and we are so excited that we have now moved on to be a finalist! In fact we are actually FIRST IN THE NATION right now!!!!

Quinn Pederson… Gonzaga Prep senior. We weren’t sure if poor Quinn’s shoot was ever gonna happen. First we rescheduled because of the Spokane fires. Then it rained the morning of our shoot and we wondered if we were going to have to reschedule again. But the weather turned, the sky ended up being SO beautiful, the colors got so rich because of the morning rain, and we pulled it off! Quinn has visited colleges all over already! She has played basketball virtually her whole life. She is such a chill, easy going, yet driven and beautiful human. Her mom and I decided she looked like a Free People model rocking that set barefoot all over that park. Quinn you’re just awesome!

Pendergraft family… this incredible family was the winning bidder of the photo session I donated to the Lakeside High school spring auction and dinner! We have many mutual friends so I was very excited to finally meet them. And they were just as great as everyone told me they would be! Their family has such a good vibe…they snuggle, they laugh, they joke with each other, they love, they play, and these two big sisters mess around with their adorable little brother in the most endearing way. They went along with all my ridiculous ideas and I was so happy with all the movement we got out of their shoot! Movement gives photos life! I am so glad we finally got to meet Pendergraft!

Thalia Kirby… Shadle Senior. Thalia was nervous when she showed up for her shoot, but she shouldn’t have been because she was such a natural! And such a sweetheart. I didn’t put two and two together when I saw her last name but when I saw them get out of their car, I realized I know her parents and her brother. Such a surprise! Speaking of surprises… those sweet girls brought me hydrangeas, and a bag of yummy fall trail mix 🥹So thoughtful and kind! And you better believe I ate the whole bag on my way home. Shoot. Thalia played volleyball for much of her life, but after breaking her foot twice decided to give it up. She wants to go into an ultrasound tech program after high school. This girl has a good head on her shoulders and a great plan and I know she’s going to do awesome in life!

Gavin Ankenbrand… Cheney Senior. Gavin didn’t love showing me his dimples but I made him 😜 Because they’re so good! The one thing that makes those dimples pop is his Pug, Peppa the Pug. She’s getting older so arrived in a stroller this year. We reenacted a pic from years ago and Peppa performed perfectly and stuck her tongue out to try and kiss her boy 🐕 We’ve done a lot of shoots over the years and hopefully we aren’t done now that he’s a senior. He’s the youngest of two brothers. He’s doing Running start at EWU and he loves gaming. Gavin I always have a blast with you and Peppa. Thank you for popping those singles for me :)
