These are the details you want to remember.. not that a random field with new outfits can’t create beautiful memories..! But will you look back at them and truly feel like “this is us..”?

With a documentary season that is my goal..! For you to look back and truly feel yourself! And not just you but your kids, your husband,… Anyone who is there! The pressure is off to perform or to have perfect social media photos.. these photos are for you!

you don’t have to have the perfect home or the most aesthetically pleasing spaces to take photos either…! Maybe your documentary session occurs at your local park where you go every weekend with the kids or maybe it is at your house that is not “perfect” or maybe under construction!

My perfect photo shoot is where you feel the most you and can truly be free!!

Just a glimpse into the last 15 mins of this documentary session..!
This is what I love about letting life unfold.. life is unpredictable! We can plan all we want but the fact is the rain can still come when we least expect it! It can pour buckets and you could stay in side and make new plans or you can make some new memories and be spontaneous and just jump in the rain!

Would you have gone in the rain or waited for better weather?

I have been shying more and more away from mini sessions as they don’t align with what I love to do most and really let life unfold and tell your story…
I know a lot of moms love doing mini sessions with their kids for Mother’s Day but I wanted to throw some other ideas out there!

There is so much beauty in what moms do every day with their kids..! So.. you could..

🤍 Take me along with you and the kids to do grocery shopping!
🤍 Take me along when you go shopping for flowers or as you are planting the garden with the kids helping and playing in the background!
🤍 Let me join you for a fun Icecrean outing or an adventure to the park!
🤍 Your kids bedtime routines!

It doesn’t matter how mundane it feels.. it’s part of being a mom and it’s the most beautiful way to document and capture you and your kids now before this season is gone!

One of the best skills to have as a photographer is to be able to embrace and adapt! Things and situations can be ever-changing, even in a short amount of time! That can be light, weather, personalities, attitudes.. so you need to be able to embrace and adapt quickly no matter what!

We got to do this in a fun way this last week at workshop where we didn’t know who or where we would be shooting until moments before! So fun and such good practice! And my models were all such good sports with it too!

It’s honestly a two-way street! For a photographer, it is such an essential skill to have but even as the client it’s so important to be able to go along with this as well! Flexibility makes your photos real! The imperfect perfections shine and you get to see you in the art I create!

Those first days of fresh new baby love.. 🥹 it’s always worth documenting every moment!

It’s my favorite when people lean into more of a cozy vibe for their newborn photos ( ok maybe all photos! ) and maybe it’s not necessarily just “cozy” it’s just when y’all can truly feel your selves, dress in away that feels like you and your comfortable, when you can just relax and let the kids be wild without a worry that they may “ruin” the session with their crazy! Just being YOU! Even if I am guiding and direction your session still your photos will always turn out 1000% better the more you can let go and just let everyone be them selves! 🤍

BIRTH.. has captured my heart!

There are so many words that can describe birth…! In short, it is an incredible miracle and everyone has a unique story to tell!

I have found myself saying so many times “I would much rather document a birth than ______ “ and so while I have been re assessing my business it just made sense that I cut things out I don’t care for as much and add in more of what I love!

So with that, I am so excited to say I will now be accepting Birth story sessions all the way through summer and fall! Of course, with some exceptions!

With hiring me as your Birth Photographer, you will not be getting “just another person” in your birth space. You’ll be getting someone who will build relationships with you, pray with you, intercede and support you in many ways! I will document your birth story in an endearing way that shows your strength, challenges, joys, connection, love, and so much more..! It’s a whole other level of vulnerability but one of the most beautiful ones.

For whoever the Lord sees fit… I cannot wait to document your birth story! 🤍
