I’ve never shot a bow in my life… 😂

But I’ve spent the last year getting a front-row seat to what bowhunting is really about.

Wyoming and Montana with Dan from ElkShape was my first taste of it. Long days, early mornings, miles of walking, close calls, frustration, excitement, and eventually watching all that work pay off.

I may not know much about shooting a bow yet, but I’ve learned pretty quickly that the hunt is about a whole lot more than the shot.

In 2 weeks, I get to experience my first elk hunt in New Mexico.

Wyoming & Montana. First time hunting. First time filming a hunt. And definitely one of the most challenging projects I’ve ever taken on.

Keeping up with Dan, finding the shot, staying out of the way while still getting the shot, and trying to capture everything happening in the moment pushed me harder than I expected. There were plenty of times I questioned whether I was actually going to be able to keep up.

But we got the job done. And we did it the way it needed to be done.

I can’t say enough good things about Dan, not just for the way he works, but for the person he is. Getting to spend that much time around someone who constantly pushes himself, and naturally pushes the people around him to be better, was something I’m incredibly grateful for.

This trip was something I never would have expected myself to be doing, and honestly, I wasn’t prepared for how much I’d take away from it.

I learned a lot about hunting. A lot about filming. A lot about myself. And probably most importantly, a lot about the kind of people I want to surround myself with.

Grateful for the miles, the lessons, the challenges, and the memories.

Wyoming & Montana — I’ll never look at a hunt, or the work behind one, the same way again.

Elk Immersion Camp
Not every hunt starts in the mountains…

Sometimes it starts with long days on the range. Broken arrows. Tough conversations. Sweat. Laughter. Learning to slow down, trust the process, and put in the work long before opening morning.

Capturing Elk Immersion Camp was a reminder that success in the field is built long before you ever hear a bugle.

Grateful to document an incredible weekend alongside MFJJ, ElkShape, Joel Turner, and Mark Livesay.

That's Brysen.

For over a year, he's been following us wherever the story leads.

Sometimes that's in the kitchen while pizzas are coming out of the oven. Other times, it's at a school field trip, a wedding celebration, or a family gathered around the table after a long day.

While everyone else is simply enjoying the moment, Brysen is looking for the little things that make it memorable.

The laughter, the conversations, the reactions, and the connections that happen when people come together over good food.

Through his lens, he's helped us share not just what we make, but who we serve and why we love being part of this community.

We're grateful he keeps showing up and we're even more grateful that he helps others see River City Pizza the way we do.

A few shots from an incredible weekend at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. 🏹⛰️

I had the opportunity to join Dan Staton at Total Archery Challenge in Pennsylvania, capturing the adventure while experiencing it alongside everyone else.

From hiking mountains and sending arrows to meeting people from all over the country, this trip was a reminder of how special the hunting and archery community really is.

Grateful for the opportunity, the people, and the memories made along the way. Thanks, Dan, for bringing me along for the ride.

Speed Project is one of those things you didn’t realize you needed until you start showing up.

It’s all ages, all levels… but everyone’s there for the same reason, just trying to get a little better. No pressure, no egos, just good people putting in real work.
