This home was designed by Spanish architecture. The arches and the stucco are a staple of this design. Has anyone else noticed arches starting to trend with new construction builds? That style is definitely coming back.

This has to be one of the coolest houses I've shot right here in Spokane.

It's a Victorian inspired custom build where they actually used a carpet cutoff from the Buckingham palace.

Not only that, but the tile is directly from a castle in Europe.

Even cooler is the fact that they flew a Russian artist to carve the cieling art above the shandaliers.

There are so many crazy details to this house that I learned about while shooting, I will share more in a seperate post.

New homes are dead 💀. Old homes are having a comeback. There's just something about these old homes that give it a classy character that you can't find in new homes.

As soon as I walked in to film, I immediately knew I wanted a slower classy vibe to the video to really show it off in the right light.

Who else has a thing for old homes? ✋️

First thing that stood out on this one?

Just look at how much space there is…

5 bedrooms, 3 baths, over 3,500 square feet.
Definitely one of those homes where there’s a lot to show.

The kitchen caught our eye pretty quickly too. Big island, pantry, butler’s pantry, and it all opens right into the main living area.

Also noticed the updates right away. New flooring, fresh paint, newer hardware… stuff like that just makes the place feel fresh.

The basement was probably one of the bigger things though.

Two more bedrooms down there, second kitchen, another laundry area, big family room.

The garage setup was nice too. More room than you usually expect.

Just one of those homes where the layout really matters, so getting that across in the photos was a big part of the shoot.

A lot of people probably assume the shoot starts when the camera comes out.

Honestly… not really.

Usually it starts way before that.

Most of the time it’s just a quick conversation first. Something like, what’s the main thing you want people to notice here?

Because every place is different.

Sometimes it’s the kitchen. Sometimes it’s the backyard. Sometimes it’s just the way the home feels overall.

Other times it’s the details: nicer finishes, lighting, updated spaces, stuff like that.

It’s not really just pointing a camera at rooms.

A lot of it is figuring out what’s actually important before we start.

Because people looking at the listing are usually deciding pretty quickly what stands out to them.

So if the best part of the home doesn’t come through early… it kind of gets missed.

Just wrapped up photos on this property…

This house sits on 3 acres, not far from town, which is probably what a lot of people are looking for.

One thing that really stood out to us was the view from the kitchen and dining area.

Looking out over the fields and the hills… yeah, that part was pretty easy to picture. Morning coffee there would be hard to beat.

Then outside, there’s the garden area, the fruit trees, the barn, fenced pasture… it’s the kind of property where people are probably already thinking about how they’d use the space.

Animals, hobbies, maybe just wanting more room around them. Stuff like that.

With places like this, if you only focus on the house, you kind of miss the point.

A lot of what makes it feel special is everything around it.

Kitchens are probably one of the easiest parts of a home to picture yourself in.

Morning coffee there. Someone cooking. Kids at the counter. Friends over. Stuff like that.

It’s not really just the appliances, even though people definitely notice those too.

More the way the space feels.

The light coming in, how open it is, whether it feels connected to the rest of the house.

People are already kind of asking themselves, could I see myself here?

That’s why kitchen photos matter more than people think.

Today, we’re sharing a few shots from this property in Indian Trail. Pretty cool house, honestly.

First thing that stood out was the vaulted ceilings. You walk in and the whole place just feels open right away.

Those kinds of spaces are always nice to shoot because the room kind of does the work for you.

Then the kitchen… yeah, that caught our eye too. The granite counters, the appliances, the cabinets... it all felt really clean.

Nothing flashy, just put together well.

Same with the flooring. New LVP and carpet, and you can tell it freshened the place up a lot.

The layout was nice too. More than one living space, fireplace, basement finished out. Plenty of room.

Outside had a few things we liked: covered deck, patio, BBQ hookup.

And the garage was bigger than expected. 3 cars, heated, shelving already there.

Just one of those homes where there’s a lot to show without trying too hard.

We get asked this a lot… virtual staging or traditional?

Honestly… depends.

Some homes make more sense one way, some the other. There’s not really a perfect answer every time.

Lately though, a lot of people have been going virtual. Mostly because it’s faster.

Traditional staging can be a whole thing... moving furniture in, setting it up, then taking it back out again later.

Takes time. Sometimes more than people expect.

With virtual, you just need solid photos first and then build from there.

Usually easier on the budget too.

People sometimes worry it’ll look fake. And… yeah, it can if it’s done poorly.

But when it’s done right, it helps a lot. Especially with empty rooms.

Traditional still has its place though. Some higher-end homes definitely benefit from the real thing.

Really it comes down to what helps someone picture themselves living there.

That’s the whole point.

And yeah… the photos still need to be good first. Otherwise none of it lands.
