A little friendly PSA from your photographer:

I wanted to share a quick reminder about something that is so important when you receive and share your gallery.

First — please, please download your photos directly from your gallery. Do not screenshot them.
Screenshots significantly reduce the quality and resolution of your images, and depending on your phone and display settings, they can even alter the colors of the final image. I spend a lot of time making sure every photo is delivered exactly how I intended it to look, and I want you to have and share the full-quality version you paid for.

Second — when posting your photos on social media, please make sure you are tagging/crediting Wild Heart Photography Co. This is included in my contract and is required when sharing your images publicly. 🖤

And I want to give a little behind-the-scenes perspective on why these things matter so much to me.

About 95% of the time you spend waiting for your gallery is post-production editing. I don’t use automated AI to cull through your session, choose your images, or mass-edit your gallery for me. I personally go through your photos one by one. I select them, make adjustments, fine-tune colors, work on skin tones, crop, straighten, retouch when needed, and make sure every image fits the look and quality you hired me for.

That takes time — a LOT of time — but it’s also one of the biggest parts of what you’re investing in when you hire me.

So when an image is screenshotted instead of downloaded correctly, shared at a fraction of its intended quality, or posted without credit, it can feel incredibly discouraging after the amount of care and hours that went into creating and finishing that image.

I absolutely LOVE seeing you share your photos. Seriously. Seeing them become profile pictures, cover photos, anniversary posts, prints on your walls, and memories you show off is one of my favorite parts of what I do. 🥹

I just ask that when you share them, you help me protect the quality of my work and respect the time that went into creating it:

Thinking about all the lives, pets, homes, businesses, families and so many more that have been affected by the tragic Spokane fires.

This is a truly devastating time and please remember to hold your loved ones close. Life is a precious thing and no one deserves to endure this type of loss. I will be thinking of everyone who has been affected and still could potentially be.

Hey it’s me🤍

I wanted to hop on here and give everyone a little update.

If you’re currently waiting on your gallery, I just want to say thank you for being so patient with me. Life has thrown a few unexpected things my way lately, and it’s put me a little behind on editing. I hate even having to make this post because I take so much pride in getting your galleries back as quickly as I can.

Please know I haven’t forgotten about anyone. Every session and wedding is being edited with the same care and attention I always put into my work. I’m spending my evenings, weekends, and every chance I get working through galleries, and I’m making progress every single day.

I know how excited you are to relive these memories, and I don’t take your trust in me lightly. I’d rather have you wait a little longer and receive a gallery I’m truly proud of than rush through something so important.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for continuing to support this dream of mine. It truly means the world to me, and I can’t wait for you to see what I’ve been working on.
