These lovebirds are getting married next weekend, and I took a little trip down memory lane to their engagement session to celebrate! I started working with Meredith before her and Nick got engaged, and so of course when I saw their engagement announcement on instagram I was SO excited for them!!

They have a love that is honest, kind, and down-to-earth. They're the type of people that will always invite you in and make you feel included. After she booked me for their wedding, we started chatting engagement details. Per the usual with my engagement sessions, I suggested to make a date of it, in a place that feels true to them. Engagement sessions are such a great opportunity to capture your personality as a couple, what you enjoy doing together, and this blissful slice of life!!

They chose to play some chess and grab a cup of joe at Pegasus coffee in Hillyard, and truly, it couldn't have gone better. It felt authentic, and homey, and full of love. SO excited to see these two get married in just a couple of weeks, and to share all of the fun, love-filled, gorgeous moments with you all!

Grace & Armando are high school sweethearts, and are truly two of the kindest souls out there 🤍

In her initial inquiry, Grace said "I genuinely teared up when reading your snippets about yourself and your vision for your clients! I have been scrolling through pictures nonstop looking for a photographer who's style I love but also who's heart I love because you are a HUGE part of the day"

*I* teared up reading that, and instantly knew that I absolutely needed to work with them. It is truly such a blessing when couples feel connected to not only my work, but me as a person. I feel so comfortable, happy, and loved, knowing that my artistic vision is trusted!

G + A are getting married in October at one of my favorite local venues - the Historic Davenport! To say that I'm excited to see the beautiful details they've planned, to meet their friends and family, and to see the joy on their faces as they get married is an understatement! Heres to their love, their joy, and their upcoming marriage! 💍

This Manito engagement was full of running, spinning, and laughter. It was absolutely dripping in golden light, and fragrant flowers, and the type of love that will last a lifetime. I cannot wait to capture Grace and Armandos wedding day - if this session was any indication, they are going to have such a detail-oriented, joyous, love-filled day. I genuinely cannot wait to celebrate alongside them and document every little moment along the way!!

If you're here, I'm so glad you found me!

More than anything, I want your wedding photos to feel like you. Beautiful, yes, but also honest, effortless, and full of the people and moments that matter most. The big celebrations deserve to be remembered, but so do the quiet moments in between.

Building relationships with my couples is one of my favorite parts of this job. By the time your wedding day arrives, my hope is that I feel like a familiar face behind the camera, someone you can trust to preserve your story with care.
