We haven’t posted in a little while, but we’ve been out doing deer recoveries. Here’s the latest update:

Unfortunately, the last four recoveries were deer that I found with the thermal drone but were non-lethal shots. It’s not what we want to see, but it’s good knowing the deer are recovering, and not expired somewhere without being found, the hunters now have the chance to hunt them again.

Wow, what a story.
This buck was one tough guy. Steven shot him Sunday morning around 8 AM while chasing a doe. There was a good blood trail for about 200 yards into the track, and he eventually spotted him in his bed. He didn’t want to jump him, so he gave me a call—even though it was a sunny Sunday afternoon. We launched the thermal drone and located him after about an hour of searching, finding him alive a long way from where he was shot. We went back Sunday evening, found him in a new spot again, still not expired, so we decided to go back out early Monday morning. Once again, we found him in a new spot, still alive, but thankfully Steven was able to recover him later Monday! Congrats, Steven, on a beautiful Indiana buck!

Another buck located and another story !
Congratulations to Brock for this beautiful eight point Indiana Buck and thank you for having me help you with your recovery !

This Buck lived for almost 40 hours after the shot with what looks to be an almost perfect placement with a crossbow pretty crazy how tough these things are sometimes thanks to the Drone. We were able to locate him, so the hunter knew where to find him the following day after he expired.

Recovery stories don’t always end the way we wish they would, but today we helped a hunter find his buck he shot last night. Unfortunately it was a non-lethal shot. However the hunter is happy that we were able to see this from the Drone without stirring up the whole woods, and we believe the deer will make it. And hopefully give the hunter another chance later.

Congrats to the hunter! Another successful buck recovered with the thermal drone. The hunter lost the blood trail and needed assistance. We located it in about 30 minutes — a nice 11-point Ohio buck!

A huge congratulations to Quenton Yoder for harvesting an absolute giant! 🦌

Last year, Quenton took a shot at this buck and lost blood on the trail. So he had me bring out the thermal drone, and we spent two separate searches across 1,000 acres, flying for over 6 hours in rain and wind. We were so determined, but came up empty-handed. During the search, we did find a wounded deer and a dead deer, and we checked over 100 live deer to make sure none were Quenton’s buck. It was tough to admit, but we felt defeated and weren’t sure where he had gone.

This year, Quenton was able to harvest the same buck a few nights ago. The buck now has seven drop tines, much larger than before even though he was really big last year already. He didn’t need my help finding him this time, and I’m incredibly proud of his patience, perseverance, and confidence. Absolutely amazing chase!

The drone didn’t locate him then because he wasn’t there—he was still alive and hiding, which is a huge confidence builder after a defeated search.

A huge congratulations to Dewayne on harvesting this 181+ inch Ohio buck tonight!

He took a 90-yard shot with a crossbow but didn’t feel super confident in the shot and didn’t want to jump the deer, so he had me come out with the thermal drone to locate the buck and ensure it had expired.

What a deer—and thanks for letting me help Dewayne!

It's not always about big bucks! Ten-year-old Micah was thrilled that we were able to find his first deer with the drone after not finding blood. Micah and Maciah are my little twin brothers, and I’m pretty proud of them; they both were able to make good shots this morning, filling the freezer!
