So cool

This is the Decker House, also known as the Erie Hotel, that was an institution in Spencerville. It was located on the north side of the Erie-Lackawanna tracks east of the depot. It was a hotel and boarding house for railroad men and oil men. It held a restaurant and sometimes a saloon. This photo was from the early 1900s, because later the building was split in half. The norther half being moved to the next lot to create two different residential homes.

The people are from left to right: Mrs. Victoria (Decker) Harvey; her husband, Frank Harvey; their daughter, Edna; John Decker; his daughter, Odes; his son, Harold; Mrs. Decker, wife of John; their daughter, Lethal next is Mrs. Decker, the proprietorl her second husband, Pat O'Sheal; and last her daughter, Viola.
