Tips for a kick-ass brand session!

👉Show up and be yourself. Really, I think it’s the most important thing you can do! Bring your personality and I’ll be sure to capture it. I know having your photo taken can be scary and a lot of people just plain hate doing it. I promise it can be fun and your clients will love seeing all the new photos you start sharing of yourself!

👉Bring props or tools of your trade. This is such a great way to give your audience a look at the products and services you offer! It can also be a fun way to show some of the behind the scenes of your business.

👉Wear something you feel confident in! Part of being yourself is dressing like yourself! If you’re wearing something you feel uncomfortable in or that just doesn’t feel like “you” it can show in photos. Looking and feeling like yourself will help give you confidence!

✨Bonus Tips✨

🪞Practice in the mirror. Practicing can help you find your preferred side (most people have one!) along with finding poses you find flattering. Don’t think you need to have all sorts of poses figured out. I’ll be sure to help give you lots of clear direction - I’ll even tell you what to do with your hands!

🎸Play your favorite music during your session. I love a good jam session and playing your favorite music is a great way to get you to relax and be yourself. And maybe even bust a dance move!

Does showing up online make you uncomfortable? Yeah, me too! 🫣 But guess what? There are no rules to how you do it! Do what works for YOU. You’re in control and can do whatever TF you want! 💃

If it freaks you out to show your face in your stories or do a live video, don’t do it. There are other ways you can be personal! You can share your favorite coffee shop or what your cute animals are up to - have you seen my stories?!

If we’ve talked recently I’ve probably told you about brand photography! I’m so excited to be offering it and love talking about it! But WHAT IS brand photography?! Last summer Amalie and I had the honor of photographing Ashley and Chris's wedding day. It was a beautiful and touching day that we were so happy to be a part of!
