As a photojournalistic event photographer, a major part of what I do, is โpeople watch.โ While on campus, I have watched and documented these graduates. I can tell you a few things about these students:
1. They love their school. They have expressive smiles at every event, and for each other.
2. They love their classmates. They share a calm understanding of each other.
3. They have a true connection with their teachers, instructors, guidance counselors and faculty support team. They make eye contact with them and thank them, and continue to authentically smile.
The students at are kind, understanding, approachable and cooperative. I donโt approach or talk to them often, but when I do, and ask them to stand a certain way, or do a certain thing, they kindly follow my instructions and trust me to take the photo, no matter how weird it seems. (See my previous post. LOL!)
It is has been an honor to watch, document and get to know these students. Thank you for being comfortable with me, and for welcoming me into your community as your photographer.
Congratulations to the class of 2026!! It is clear to me that your teachers and faculty will miss you.
Just wait until I share the pictures of the faculty tunnel of hugs and tears :). The faculty has clearly grown to love you.
For now, hereโs the first album of photos Iโll share of your graduation: The mirrored getting-ready room, loved ones waiting to watch you graduate, and a few beginnings of the faculty tunnel :)
More to come! Thank you for choosing me as your photographer!
