I'll say it again: Hire a storyteller, hire an observer, hire someone who LOOKS and SEES when they weave the story of your family.

These pictures-- this session-- feel like breathing.

Like a deep, slow inhale filling your lungs, followed by the kind of exhale where your shoulders finally relax and the weight you’ve been carrying quietly leaves your body.

You can feel the leisure, the slowness, the intention, the joy, and the peace woven through these photographs.

You can feel the story of a family who lives deeply and intentionally, rooted in their land, their animals, and most importantly, in each other.

Everything about this session felt effortless because they weren’t trying to become something for the camera. They were simply allowed to be. Outfits chosen but still casual so everything felt, real, and exactly like them.

Of course, we made space for the moments we knew we wanted to capture: the animals, the siblings, the quiet connection between mom and dad, the details that make their life uniquely theirs. But even in those more intentional, curated moments, the heart of this family remained.

Because the magic was always in the in-between.

The tiny glances. The laughter. The gentle chaos. The little hands around mom's leg, the gallop of best friends on their horses hair blowing wild in the breeze...

This is what a family’s story looks like when it is lived slowly, intentionally, and with so much love; this is what your family's story looks like when you hire someone who SEES it, who sees you and cares enough to document how beautiful it all truly is, just as you are.

Oh my heart…why is it that the best and worst part about parenting is watching them grow up? Like it’s the whole point and it feels like I’m racing towards a finish line I don’t want to cross.

When your family photo experience becomes a lot more: “I love this song, dance with me?” And “let’s see if we can find any butterflies!” And a lot less: “hold still and smile!” “Can you just look at the camera please?!” Core memories are made.
I’m in the business of story telling and memory making, so that your reflection of your session brings you back to the moments full of joy and laughter.
