Perfect.

Because that’s exactly where I’ve been…cooking up family galleries, personal brand content, product photos, marketing plans, emails, reels, client timelines, and enough camera roll storage issues to last a lifetime.

The recipe?
📸 A camera
☕ A (lot of) Diet Coke
✨ A little creativity
😅 A concerning amount of tabs & programs open (across multiple computers)

In all seriousness, I feel incredibly lucky that this is what I get to do for work. Every session, every brand, every family that trusts me with their memories or their business means the world to me.

Now excuse me while I get back to the kitchen. I’ve got some content to cook 😏

This family came all the way from Texas just to see me (& vacation as a family but totally to see me 😂)! They wanted “Utah vibes” and these mountains delivered 🙌🏼

Planning for this session took a little longer and I’m thankful for their patience. They wanted mountain vibes but wanted to stay within a certain distance to where they were staying. Maps and routes were tracked for several locations, adding in different optimum start times to help with the kids and their personalities (& bedtimes).

All that prep turned into a great session filled with kids “hiking mountains”, trying to take all the rocks, and lots of “b***y b***y shake shakes”.

I truly hope it was as wonderful for them as it was for me 🩷 Enjoy these sneak peeks!

Colter’s senior session! I’ve always said to incorporate seniors hobbies, talents, bits of their personalities into their sessions and Colter killed it! He was so excited to show off everything he brought and I genuinely loved it. All of his rodeo buckles, his hats and ropes, little details on his saddle, and TWO horses! He was so happy and animated, it made the session so easy. I loved capturing it all and it was tough to narrow down to edit 😂 here’s a little peek into his final gallery. Congratulations Colter! Proud of you!

“The #1 thing that ruins family photos has absolutely nothing to do with what you’re wearing.”

It’s not the color palette.
It’s not whether your kids match perfectly.
And it’s definitely not whether your toddler keeps their shoes on for more than 7 minutes. 😅

The biggest thing that affects your photos?
Showing up stressed, rushed, overstimulated, and expecting everything to go perfectly.

Kids feel that energy immediately. Honestly…adults do too.

The families who end up with the most genuine, joy-filled photos are usually the ones who:
• leave a little earlier than they need to
• keep expectations low
• let their kids be kids
• and focus more on being together than “performing” for the camera

I’m not looking for perfectly behaved children or Pinterest-perfect moments. I’m looking for connection. The in-between moments. Those secret smiles. The laughs amongst the loving chaos. The way your kids reach for your hand without thinking about it.

One of my biggest tips?
Don’t spend the entire drive over telling your kids to “smile and behave.” Instead, hype it up a little. Tell them you’re going to play, snuggle, run around, and make memories together.

Your session will feel completely different.

The best family photos happen when you let things unfold naturally, enjoy the moments as they come, and trust your photographer to guide the rest 🤟🏼

Saltair sessions always feel a little magical.

This extended family wanted a location that felt as close to the beach as possible here in Utah, and Saltair delivered. We were nervous it wasn't going to happen because of the storm that came through the day before but it ended up being perfect!

If you’ve been thinking about updating your extended family photos, Saltair is one of my favorite locations in Salt Lake County for timeless, natural images 🤍
