Hummingbirds are so cool. I took this while it was hovering and staring at me.

Fun fact, for pictures to “freeze” the wings, you are looking at the 1/2000-1/3200 of a second shutter speed. That means 0.0005-0.0003125 seconds! Isn’t that insane to think about?

A little As We Are Photo update 💛

After a lot of thought, I've decided to close the photography business side of As We Are Photo.
It wasn't an easy decision, but the business simply wasn't something I wanted to continue pursuing. And I think it's okay to recognize when something isn't working and let it go. 🤷‍♂️

But I'm not saying goodbye to photography. This page will continue as a place for me to share and showcase the photography I love, while returning to my roots of taking stellar photos simply for fun and enjoyment.

Thank you to everyone who supported We Are Photo during its first chapter. 💛

I had the opportunity to go to Yellowstone this year and take some pictures. 📸 I had quite the experiences— lots of ravens, bisons, bugs, geysers, beautiful scenic landscapes, etc.

My favorite story gained from this was that I got to play unintentional hide n seek with a bison. It was scary, but cool afterwards. 😉

Finished painting some fdm miniatures and had to share! Love how these turned out. It’s also fun to practice my product photography skills!

One thing I do that is a little unique is I incorporate rocks/gemstones into these. I think it adds some depth and character:

Orc- candle wicks & eyes are glowstone; also some in the skull eyes. (Note: glow effects were not photoshopped in first picture)
Black dragon - opals and various stones in the water.
Tiamat - opals in the eyes.

Still practicing my miniature product photography. Loved painting these, they turned out so great!
