I can’t think of a better excuse to travel back to Wilmington than to document Jess and Paul’s wedding day at the gorgeous Wrightsville Manor 🥰

Jess and I met very randomly on Wrightsville Beach several years ago and since then have created some of my all time favorite photos together. Her wedding day was no exception ❤️

Jess always radiates such a calm, confident, centered energy and it shined through even on her wedding day. I can feel it coming through in every beautiful image.

The quickest way to my heart is telling me that you prefer black and white photography 😅❤️ When Rachel informed me during the planning stage that her goal was to hang black and white prints of these images in her home, my soul definitely did a little happy dance. And how incredibly beautiful is she??

It’s always an honor to be welcomed into someone’s personal space and entrusted to capture one of the most important stages in their life ❤️

Aside from maternity, senior sessions are my absolute favorite genre to shoot 🥰 I love the passion, creativity and style these kids bring to their sessions! Such an amazing opportunity to get creative and highlight your interests ✨

Fun fact: I think horses are the most gorgeous creatures on the planet but they slightly terrify me 🙈 I’ve only been on horseback once, when I was about 12. As soon as I was in the saddle, the male horse I was on decided to assert his dominance and attack the horse in front of us…rearing straight up and kicking him until someone intervened 😳 I don’t know how I didn’t get thrown off. THENNN…halfway through the trail, I guess he decided he wanted to be the leader 😩🤣 He took off FULL speed around the other riders, under tree branches and refused to stop. Our trail guide had to chase after us and grab the reigns. And yes…they let me right that horse the rest of the way back 🤣🤣🤣😳 True Story 🥴

Anyway, lol…I do want to go horseback riding again one day. Can’t be worst than the first experience, right? 🤔😅

I had such an amazing time hanging out with Annie & Margo during their time in Wilmington. From a double sailboat proposal to festive downtown streets, their trip was nothing short of magic!

I will always appreciate the stunning outdoor locations here in Southeastern North Carolina, but as a photographer, absolutely nothing fulfills me more than in home sessions.

Shooting in your space instantly brings a level of connection, intimacy and creativity that just can’t be replicated outdoors. Being surrounded by the comforts of home allows the true essence of who you are to shine through in a uniquely authentic way.

And let’s not forget…climate control 🙌 No heat, humidity, bugs, cold, wind, no rescheduling due to inclement weather.

Nothing will ever be more magical to me than window light and authenticity ✨❤️

Embracing the beauty of new beginnings 🤰✨

While I have been thoroughlyyy enjoying my time away from social media, I’ve also realized that I’m well overdue in posting some updated images here 😅 So please forgive me as I flood this page over the coming days ❤️

Maternity sessions have become such a passion for me over the past two years, making up the vast majority of my work. I am so grateful each and every time a Mama chooses me to document this sweet phase of life ❤️❤️
