They left home that morning expecting to come back.
They boarded planes, walked into offices, reported for work, and made plans for later.
Nearly 3,000 people never returned home.
Today, we honor their memory, the courage of those who ran toward danger, and the families who have carried that loss ever since.
September 11 is also a sobering reminder of the brokenness of this world and the brevity of life.
Scripture tells us that our lives are like a mist—here for a little while and then gone. That truth is not meant to leave us without hope.
Because in a world marked by sin, suffering, and death, Jesus Christ offers something this world cannot: forgiveness, salvation, and eternal hope.
So today, we remember.
We hold our families a little closer.
We serve others while we have the opportunity.
We live for what matters eternally.
And above all, we place our hope in Christ.
We will never forget September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸
