My years in the field as a fine art landscape photographer have honed my skills in the area of lighting and composition of the natural landscape which I bring to every wedding I shoot, ensuring your photos will be artistically composed and prepared for you. My style of shooting is a blend of photo journalism/documentary combined with traditional/classic with artistic, creative and modern overtones throughout both styles. The photojournalism/documentary style is used to capture the events and happenings of your day as they unfold capturing the emotions, joy and spirit and surroundings of your wedding from getting ready shots to the ceremony and reception. The traditional/classic wedding style is used to capture the individual and family portraits as well as portraits of the bridal party which are commonly used for framing. My style of photography emphasizes clarity and sharpness of colors enhanced by natural settings in which I capture the candid moments as they unfold. Through my photographs I accent the details, mood and personality of your weddings and all that goes into making it one of the most special days of your life. I bring a strong sense of integrity, reliability and creativity to every wedding I shoot, insuring that you’ll have photos to cherish for a lifetime. My easy going personality and flexibility lends itself well to the stresses of a wedding day so you can be calm, relaxed and enjoy each special moment of your wedding. As a professional, I can step in when needed to make sure you won’t miss a single shot, as well as and shoot unobtrusively in the moments when it is needed taking the stress off of you. Connecticut has so many great engagement session locations. The state is very diverse from north to south and east to west. Urban centers, farms and vast forests, parks, rivers and waterfalls as well as a hundreds of miles of shoreline from Stonnington to Greenwich make it an engagement session paradise. One of my favorite places for engagement sessions is Harkness State Park on the coast in Waterford, Connecticut. The park was the home of wealthy family that built their home, Eola Mansion at the location. The park is an architectural wonder with gardens, pillars and steps, sone walls, gates and fountains. In addition, there are large meadows with views across the Long Island Sound and beyond. Beach boardwalks and sandy shores are the icing on the cake to this power packed all-in-one engagement sessions location. Alexis and Dan chose this great location for their engagement session and it did not disappoint!! It was great spending the time with Alexis and Dan and enjoying the long summer day in paradise.

Engagement sessions really heat up as the month of June begins as parks are open across the state. From the Litchfield Hills to the north of Connecticut to the Southern Connecticut Coast. Connecticut offers so much variety of locations from historic estates, mansions and castles to waterfalls, farms, flower gardens and miles of ocean beaches. The hardest part is deciding where to go. What ever location you choose you can't go wrong. Engagement sessions are a great warm up for your wedding day when it comes to becoming comfortable in front of the camera and getting to know your photographer and visa versa. It makes your wedding day photos turn out so much better. Plus, all the photos from your engagement session can be used for everything from save the date cards, to reception table centerpieces and to decorate your reception sign in table. It is extra special when the engagement session location is the site of the couples original proposal as was the case in Kelsey and Juston's engagement at Topsmead Forest. It was great to spend the time with Kelsey and Juston and experience their deep friendship and fun they had with each other. They dance, they laughed, and took in the beauty of the summer day with the birds, bees, butterflies, fields and flowers.
