Heyo!! I have a life update, and an explanation for why I’ve been a bit MIA from this page over the last few months!! Don’t worry, I’ve still been doing photography and I’ve loved seeing all of your friendly faces, I’ve just had yet another project with a camera that’s taken up the rest of my time —— stay tuned to find out

October of last year I started playing with the idea of going back to school, just casually, but a few passive decisions and 2 months later I found myself sitting in a lecture hall, somehow now a full time student in the UVU film program.
It’s been a whirlwind of a semester, and I’ve loved every second. We’ve made it to spring break now (hallelujah) and I’ve learned so much! Portrait photography will always be my first love, but I can’t wait to delve even deeper into this industry, make a name for myself, and use the tools I’m learning in my photography as well. I have a few short films I’ve made this semester, with more to come - so if anyone would be interested I’d be happy to share them! (I might do it anyway, y’all might not have a choice). Currently I’m going for my associates in the program, but everyday I lean more and more towards a bachelors. Eek! We’ll see how I feel at the end of these two years.
In the meantime I have no intention of quitting photography, I love it and you all too much for that. I’ll still be taking clients throughout the semester and plan to go full tilt in the summer months. Please forgive me if I take a moment longer than usual to get back to messages during the school year. I’m working my b***y off as this is one of the best programs in the country and a very competitive industry. After all, It’s Showbiz baby!! 🌟🌟🌟

My photography journey ~~
- I got my first camera at 14 (shoutout to my mom for deciding she didn’t want to learn and giving it to me instead)
- I was self taught by high school but still did many photography classes to fill in any gaps I might’ve had.
- I tried on a few other careers over my time (dog groomer, stablehand) but always ended up back with a camera in my hand
- I was manager at one of Utah’s most successful photography studios for 2+ years, and did 1000’s of photoshoots in that time.
- I learned how to run a business in photography, and how to handle the gauntlet of circumstances being a family photographer can throw at you.
- I’m a certified photographer in shoots all the way from a single newborn, to a family of 50
- I’ve hired and taught photographers from the ground up to take professional photos
- I continuously am looking to improve my craft and will never believe that I’ve mastered it all!
- I’m the most visual thinking person I know, and with a camera in my hand it’s a superpower.
- Canon is my weapon of choice for portraiture (the skin tones? To die for) but Sony will always have my heart in the video world.
- I believe photography is an art from, and the camera is my paintbrush.

Personal life stuffs~~

- I’m 23 (August baby🦁)
- I graduated in 2020 (I know)
- I have two HUGE dogs who are my children, and best friends. My world completely revolves around them.
- I love my friends and family very much, and am very lucky to have each of them in my life.
- I’m an extrovert and socializing is a huge part of my mental health.
- I LIVE for the outdoors. I hike, bike, climb, backpack, camp, horse back ride, snowboard, longboard, wakeboard, literally everything to do with the outdoors is my jam (except caving, that’s wild).
- I’ve lived in Utah my whole life, and while I love it, I’m planning to see many other places before I decide where I’ll set down roots.
- I currently work part time as an equine therapy instructor for struggling youth and love every second.
- I’m a vegetarian
- I believe love is love, everyone is human, and the earth deserves our utmost respect and protection.
- I’m like the Lorax, I speak for the trees.
- I’m a huge yogi, and love mediation, journaling, and plant medicines.
- I’m the same height as Sabrina carpenter.
- I love live music. Festivals, concerts, raves, karaoke? I’ll be there.
- Fav shows are Psych, Adventure time, Game of Thrones, Avatar the Last Airbender, Attack on Titan, Breaking Bad, and currently Severence (ofc).
- Fav movies are Dune(s), Avatar, Silver Linings Playbook, Spirited away, Interstellar, The wolf of Wall Street, Inception, How to Train Your Dragon, Jurassic Park, and Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron.
- I loveee to read. Current faves are Fourth Wing, Throne of Glass, and an all time fav is City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. (Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson, etc, are also in there too)
- Van life is an eventual goal, as well as getting my pilots license, attending a mediation retreat, and experiencing as many cultures as I possibly can.
