One of the things I love most about my Christmas sessions is that you never know what you're going to get. It's truly the best part! The parents tend to have the most fun, if I'm being honest.

Ever After Alpaca Farm and I are thankful for those who joined us for "Fleece Navidad," and Heritage Springs and I are thankful for those who joined us for "Merry Cluckin Christmaaas"!

While we can't guarantee everyone left with their clothes or hair intact, we can guarantee you had a ridiculously fun time and made some core memories. And maybe a quick makeout session with a goat.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our family is grateful for YOU. Every session and event means so much to us. Personally, being invited into your lives and sharing in your milestones fills my heart.

This year, I'm also thankful for stability in my health. We have been on a never-ending emotional rollercoaster with symptoms, testing, and getting the care I need. This is a reminder that you are your best advocate, and sometimes you (unfortunately) need multiple opinions before finding the best physician. This is especially true if you are a woman! (IYKYK). I still have a lot of bad days, but thankfully I am able to manage them much better than before.

When you're around people long enough, you tend to pick up some habits and mannerisms. Sometimes, you end up showing up to an event in the exact same outfit.

That's right, folks. Our outfits were not planned! We've clearly built a relationship that transcends working together into...this.

So thankful for Ever After Alpaca Farm and all the shenanigans we've gotten into over the years!

The sun was lovely, the leaves were vibrant, and this beautiful family gave me their best smiles and sweetest giggles. And...I got to hold a baby. That's always a huge plus in my book. She may or may not have helped me take a photo or two ;)

I've watched this beautiful girl grow from a little girl into a young lady throughout the years, developing her style along the way. It's always so lovely to see her and her mama! Full of love and grace, and they both bring such a peaceful presence.

Christmas sessions are booking slowly this year, and that's ok! If your year has been anything like mine, you're just thankful to be here. There's uncertainty in so many aspects of life and we're all feeling the effects.

Here's where I ask you a favor. Ever After Alpaca Farm and I have partnered up since 2021 to offer a truly unique holiday experience. "Fleece Navidad" minis are so joyful, and everyone leaves with full hearts and amazing images. Usually we sell out and have a waiting list! This year is looking a little different.

There's no doubt that fall is an insanely busy time for photographers before hibernating for winter, but it's true for the farm as well. They offer their last few tours of the season before the weather gets cold, and traditionally our mini sessions are their last hoorah before closing for the season. All proceeds from our minis go towards making sure their animals are well fed and kept warm through the winter (much like our families). Not only do they have an alpaca herd, but they also care for horses, chickens, and goats. Just this year they've taken in several rescue animals! These humans are some of the most wonderful people I've had the pleasure of working with.

If you're able, help me show them a little love to get through the winter. You can book a tour or purchase some of their alpaca fleece products!

My tiny bestie brought her family to see me again this year, and baby brother was so excited to be there! I can't get over these sweet little faces. You look fabulous too, Mom and Dad ;)

I always offer a fist bump, high-five, or a hug goodbye to the little ones. Sometimes they choose to simply wave, and that's ok too! But when these sweethearts gave me goodbye hugs, my heart just burst.

Grateful for the families who choose me, and for those who bring their babies back to me.

This session was full of shenanigans, and my only complaint is that I didn't get ice cream for doing a good job like the kids did. I'm starting a petition that photographers get treats after sessions too 😆

I love that this family chose a location that meant something to them. So many adventures here, and so many more to come. The boys were full of giggles and wiggles, but that made for some wonderful (and hilarious) photos. And the way that Dad looks at Mom...well, let's just all swoon.

Isn't this family so sweet? Seeing their little one grow has been so fun to see. She found a few of my shenanigans laugh worthy, and was perplexed by the rest. But my goodness, all those beautiful smiles 😍

When you work with one photographer throughout the years, you build a wonderful working relationship. There's trust, joy, laughter. Everyone's personality is able to shine through because they're comfortable with each other.

It has been a busy few weeks and I have been overjoyed to see so many returning families along with new faces!

The sun played peekaboo with us, and combined with the gloomy and dark clouds made for a beautiful backdrop. These handsome little men were simply wonderful, and baby brother took on the responsibility of making sure everyone smiled.
