We had absolutely incredible views of the aurora borealis even in close proximity to the lights of Portland. I was sitting on my deck and actually watched the first red bands come in and they were so brilliant that the entire sky lit up red. I saw streaks of light red and faint green. I grabbed my camera and took some snaps in the backyard and then drove out to Bug Light park to see if I could get a shot of the lighthouse. There were a few photographers there with the same idea! Another item I can check off the bucket list.

Flying chili peppers or no flying chili peppers 🌶? Recent work for a local Bloomington hot sauce company. These would make great stocking stuffers for family members that prefer things extra hot 🔥. 🌶

Whoops messed up the post so retrying. I don’t normally do these kind of shoots but... big shout-out to our clients and friends Adrian and Melissa on their 5th wedding anniversary! We went to various locations around Indiana University and worked up quite a sweat. My assistant had a 25” soft box that we boomed right out of frame camera-right. ❤️ @ Indiana University

I don’t normally do these kinds of shoots but...Big shoutout to our clients and friends Adrian and Melissa on their 5th wedding anniversary! We went to various locations around IU for the shoot and worked up quite a sweat. My assistant had a 25” soft box that we boomed right out of frame camera-right. For the IU folks, does anybody know where this is?

Last night I had a chance to photograph Comet NEOWISE ☄️✨over the IU Innovation Center. The comet and tail are big! Unfortunately, the light pollution in Bloomington is too bright for really seeing the comet naked eye or even through the lens, but after some educated guesses (below Big Dipper) I was able to find the location with long exposures. The second image is racked in at 200mm and cropped to isolate the comet. The comet won’t be back for another 6,800 years so go try to find it in the sky before it disappears again! @ Bloomington, Indiana
