After a lot of reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to close my photography business. This choice comes down to personal and financial realities that I can no longer ignore, but it doesn’t take away from what this journey has meant to me.

Building this short-lived business has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve had the privilege of capturing moments that mattered—love, growth, celebration, and simple everyday beauty—and of connecting with so many wonderful people along the way. To everyone who trusted me with their memories, supported my work, shared a kind word, or believed in what I was creating, Thank you. Truly.

While this chapter is ending, my love for photography will always remain a part of who I am, and you may see a few posts here or there. For now, I’m stepping back to take care of what I need personally, but I’ll carry forward every lesson, every image, and every connection.

As I was driving to work this week, a very cold morning produced frost that clung to the shoreline as the first light warmed a frozen Harrison, Maine harbor. The dawn rose in soft pastels over the still water and drifting mist. Winter’s quiet breath abruptly started making an appearance.

I'm sorry to all of my followers that I haven't been active lately. Life happens. A new job has started and I am focusing on that for right now, but I do have some exciting news! The photo contest that I submitted my Hacker's Hill Sunset Photo into for the Town of Casco won first prize for the general category! I am so honored and humbled. Thank you to all who have supported me along the way! I hope to get out and take some more photos soon, but life has been busy, and my wedding is also less than a month away! So, exciting times! This is the photo I entered.

I just entered the Casco Maine Open Space Photo Contest with my sunset on Hacker's Hill Preserve photo. I'm not quite sure how the voting works, but I would love for you all to vote for me! Voting goes through Labor Day, so there's plenty of time! There are multiple categories for entry, but I chose "General" because this particular photo doesn't fit any of the other categories.

Today is FUN Friday! Did someone say car ride?! This is our pup, Oscar. He actually gets very anxious during car rides, but once we reach our destination, he's all about it... unless it's the Vet's Office! 😆 We hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Thank you, Portland. It’s been a crazy adventure, but it’s time to come to an end. Bake Maine Portland has enjoyed its (almost) 3 year run, but we need to focus on our Wells location. Try as we might, we still can’t be in two places at once.

Our Portland location is closing next week - our final day to be Wednesday 8/27, unless we sell out sooner. Please stop by and grab those last goodies, awesome sandwiches and delicious treats before we close. Remember our Wells location is still open every day 7am-3pm :) A GIANT “thank you” to our Portland Team that has been friendly and inviting to our wonderful guests and have run the show in our absence. This team is amazing.

🍂✨ We're almost there... I can FEEL it! The first whispers of fall are arriving… crisp mornings, frosty leaves, and that golden light that makes everything feel a little more magical.

Who else is ready for cozy sweaters, all things pumpkin, and the crunch of leaves underfoot? 🍁🍂 I am a bit concerned with our foliage season this Fall due to the extreme heat and dryness, but we shall see...
