I don’t know if it’s because my kids are a little older now, but I cherish these sessions, these moments, these photos, more than ever in my 14 years as a photographer.

When I was a mom of a newborn, I could understand what my clients were going through.
When I was a mom of a toddler, I could encourage my clients that those long nights will pass.
Now that I’m a mom of big kids, I want tell my clients not to wish these days away, to truly cherish this season, to take way too many photos.

Because they really do grow up too fast 🥹

These days may be hard, juggling a toddler while nursing a newborn, but nothing feels harder right now than not being able to hold my boys as babies 🥹🥲 They’re way to tall to fit in my lap. They’re way too heavy to lift. I’ll keep trying anyways.

But now that I’m passed this season, I cherish it all the more.

During this session, I couldn’t help but smile looking at them play with their daughter and hold their son. These really are the good ol’ days!

In every season, these moments are priceless 🥲

When we said yes to Jesus, it wasn’t just a yes to receive forgiveness and salvation, although this is the greatest gift He has given us. It was an invitation to follow Him completely.

To leave comfort for conviction. To leave prideful pursuits for purposeful passion. To leave the world’s ways for The Way.

I have a strong conviction that Christian entrepreneurs can and should use their business to glorify God, to be a city on a hill, a light not hidden under a lampshade, to be the salt of the earth.

This won’t always look the same; there isn’t a perfect blueprint, but the Bible has so much wisdom, counsel and divine instruction.

When we leave the world’s ways and seek First the Kingdom of God, I believe and I have seen God can do immeasurably more than we could ever think or imagine doing in our own strength!

I want to ignite other Christian entrepreneurs to be bold about their faith in their business, to arise and shine, to let man see your good works so they will glorify God!

Just as Jesus called and commissioned his disciples, I believe God has commissioned us to shine through our business to a hurting world. To show the love of God. To stand for truth. To serve with excellence.

More than money, more than earthly treasures, there is an eternal purpose for our lives now, and I believe, for our businesses.

Are you ready to follow Jesus fully? Do you want to arise and shine boldly?

✨The truth about Beach Sessions✨
I absolutely love the beach, but as a photographer, beach sessions are hard… hard to edit, sometimes hard to photograph.

My very first beach session was so humid, my camera kept fogging up 😩 I didn’t know I needed to turn off my car AC and adjust it. The wind can be a nuisance at times. Sunrise can be cloudy, not clear. But guess what, I still love beach sessions!

This year was the first time I didn’t book a beach session on my vacation, and I felt like a failure. “Maybe I didn’t market enough. Maybe I’m not good enough. Maybe I’m too expensive.” All the thoughts.

But then I remembered, God knows what I need. He is my provider. And so I received this vacation just as it is: a time of rest, reflection, and enjoyment.

God is good because I did book a beach session in August 🫶🏻 So if anyone does want a beach session, just let me know your date!

This is their favorite resort. They go with friends. They’re here every summer. So what a special spot to get photos done.

That’s what I love to do as your photographer.

I love to find out what makes your family unique. What makes this season special? What part of this time do you not want to forget?

Adventure sessions don’t have to be a difficult hike. It can be in your own back yard, or at your favorite neighborhood park.

When your kids show up, they’ll be comfortable, excited and ready to have fun!
