The best rigs always involve equal parts engineering and talking about the best way to do it. The true unsung hero of every production is the PA keeping the coolers stocked. And make no mistake — that PA is being evaluated by the crew. Variety, depth, rotation, and temperature of what is in these coolers is being tracked by everyone. The final creative deliverable actually depends on the quality of the contents of these coolers.

PA’s, take note: If you want a future in this industry, forget film school. Focus on building the best coolers possible.

Behind the scenes from our winter installment of the Visit California Playful Perspectives series.

Snow, skis, pole cams, intervalometers, and a crew who had to ski to get the shot. We leaned hard into ultra-wide lenses, mounted cameras to skis and poles, and let the cameras rip mid-run to chase those immersive mountain moments.
