Hey, Ohana School of Performing Arts fam! We are coming back for Recital once again, and it’s creeping right up on us. This year will work a little bit different. There will NOT be a gallery of ALL dances as we have done in the past for you to view after recital. Live performance photos MUST be pre-ordered this year if you would like them.

The process is simple! Just fill out our Google form, and Venmo or PayPal your payment before recital and we will add you to the list! Within 2 weeks of recital you will receive all of the edited digital images of your pre-ordered performance(s). Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have professional images to hold on to on these memories. Recital comes but once a year!

A few of the faces of the WHY I PLAY project from day 2 and day 3 in front of the tiger wall. These are the faces of the future, of our town, of our student athletes, artist, dancers, and actors. I have loved meeting everyone who has come in so far and sharing the excitement and momentum of this project.

There is so much more to athletics than meets the eye and studies show a child’s involvement in sport helps them to improve their social interactions, increase their confidence, and improve their listening skills and health. Participation in sport is linked to higher grades, lower dropout rate, reduced truancy and lower crime rates overall. And the kids have their own reasons to play and we are here for them all!

There is still time to join us! THIS IS WHY WE PLAY.

This is just the beginning! This project feels so special already, there was an energy in the studio today that comes along with doing something that means something. We can’t wait to see more reasons why you play and watch this project grow.

Sports and extracurriculars are not just for exercise, they are building future leaders, team players, independent thinkers, people who are resilient mentally and physically, and so much more. I can’t week to meet our next group on Wednesday. We still have spots open if you’d like to join us!

Calling all South Hadley student athletes, musicians, artists, & actors. Are you ready to show your Tiger pride and let this town know WHY WE PLAY? Here’s a chance to make your statement in a positive and impactful way! Be a part of this special project and help us document the many faces of our youth community displaying your WHY against our gorgeous tiger backdrop.

Class of 2027, it’s not too early to start thinking about your sessions. Think about seasons, wardrobe ideas, locations, and let’s make a plan! Need some guidance? We are always happy to chat and help narrow down your ideas to form the PERFECT session for you.
