At the heart of what I do, I work closely with clients to define a clear and specific vision of the content that they need to showcase their brands — I collaborate with art producers, business owners, and entrepreneurs to create compelling, intimate images that help attract their ideal audiences, increase their communities of followers, and grow their businesses. I'm Allegra, a Connecticut-based p
rofessional photographer, and owner of Allegra Home and Lifestyle Shop, an online zero waste store. I specialize in photographing portraits, food, interior design, and landscape architecture for commercial and editorial clients. If I could go back in time and tell my younger self that I'd have a successful photography studio, an Emmy award, and a degree from Tufts University, I would be excited beyond belief. Now, I carry that feeling of excitement with me every day and on all of my projects. Following my passion led me to start my own photography studio in 2013, and since then I've been building a community of clients whose goals and creative visions I truly believe in — I love to connect with my clients on a meaningful level, understand their needs, and create images that help their businesses grow. I first fell in love with photography because capturing images of the world around me was an authentic expression of myself and brought me joy. Over time, I’ve learned that this emotion is the most important part of creating images that stand out. The most successful photographs evoke a sense of connection and a feeling in the person seeing them. That feeling resonates with viewers. It’s not just people, places, food and things that interest me — it’s the greater life stories that I aim to capture: those that inspire, awaken, and connect us. My photography studio is located in Glastonbury, and I specialize in photographing portraits, food, interior design, and landscape architecture for commercial and editorial clients. I served as the President of the Connecticut chapter of The American Society of Media Photographers from 2019-2021 and I love to mentor aspiring photographers. I look forward to hearing from you so I can learn more about you, your project, and how I can help.
