Invisible string theory, nanny edition: Prior to moving to Florida I joined a Facebook group to find a nanny in the area we were hopefully moving to. Dakota’s mom reached out to me for Dakota to babysit my daughter, but Dakota had already said yes to another family. We moved to Florida and one evening months later at our apartments dog park my husband and I were talking about needing a back up nanny. A mom had mentioned that her daughter is going to be starting nursing school soon, but she might be able to nanny on the side for us. Later on her daughter came to the park and I mentioned needing care for my daughter. I gave her my number and when she went to text me she realized I was McKenzie. She was Dakota. Of all the cities and apartments in Florida, we ended up in the same place at the same time.
